Nearly 1 million people and tourists visited and had fun at destinations in Ho Chi Minh City, with tourism revenue of about 3,235 billion VND during the April 30 and May 1 holidays.
At noon on April 30, Saigontourist Travel welcomed 654 passengers of the Azamara Journey ship (belonging to Azamara Cruises) to Nha Rong - Khanh Hoi port. The multinational group of guests including Americans, Germans, British, Canadians... stayed in Vietnam for 2 days, visiting Ho Chi Minh City and My Tho City (Tien Giang province).
In Ho Chi Minh City, visitors can visit Ben Thanh Market, Binh Tay Market, learn to cook Vietnamese dishes; experience making sand paintings and traditional coffee making activities; take a Jeep to see Ho Chi Minh City at night and enjoy street food; go to the Water Bus pier to take a sunset cruise on the Saigon River; take the Les Rives high-speed boat to visit Can Gio with monkey island, bat lagoon, crocodiles; take the high-speed boat to Ben Dinh - Cu Chi to visit Cu Chi tunnels; go to the rooftop of the Majestic Hotel to see the whole Saigon River and enjoy 5-star services...
In My Tho City (Tien Giang Province), tourists can visit Tien River, Thoi Son Islet, stop by a bee farm to enjoy honey tea and garden fruits, cycle on village roads, listen to traditional music, row a boat in Vam Chua canal...
On the afternoon of April 30, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism informed that during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, there were about 969,000 people and tourists visiting and having fun at destinations in the area, an increase of 2% over the same period.
Of which, domestic tourists are nearly 325,000, up 1.6% over the same period in 2023; international visitors are about 54,000, up 12.5% over the same period... Guests staying at accommodation establishments are estimated at about 200,000, up 11% over the same period in 2023. Room occupancy is estimated at 75%, up 2.7% over the same period. Total revenue during the holiday is about 3,235 billion VND, up 3.4% over the same period.
