The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has just issued a document guiding the review of data and preparation for enrollment at the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year.
Accordingly, the data is reviewed on children studying in kindergartens; students studying in grade 5 at primary schools; children who have not attended kindergarten and are of admission age to grade 1 in districts, towns, and Thu Duc City.
5 steps to review primary school admissions data
For students in kindergarten and grade 5, the screening process carried out by the school includes 5 steps:
Step 1: Educational institutions must ensure that all students eligible for admission have identification codes and verify identification data with the national population database. In cases where students do not have identification codes for special reasons (disadvantaged children, foreign children, etc.), the Department of Education and Training is responsible for compiling the list, attaching evidence and submitting it to the Department of Education and Training for review and guidance.
Step 2: After fully updating the data of students eligible for admission, the school synchronizes the data from the industry database to the primary school admission database. At the same time, the login account is notified to parents so that parents can check the information on the city's primary school admission page.
Step 3: Parents access the city's primary school admissions page (https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn) to verify the correct information, account, and login password provided by the school. In case of information adjustment, parents enter the requested adjustment content, attach evidence to the system (evidence includes: image of student's birth certificate; image of parent's VNeID, residential information section).
Step 4: The school verifies the content of the parent's request for adjustment and proceeds to adjust the information. After the school makes the adjustment, the parent accesses the city's primary school admissions page to check and confirm the correct information.
Step 5: After completing the data review, the school confirms the completion of the data review and transfers the final year student data records to the higher level.
Regarding data on 6-year-old children who have not attended preschool, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that the screening process consists of 2 steps, carried out by the People's Committees of communes, wards and towns, and the police of communes, wards and towns:
Step 1: The People's Committee of the commune, ward, or town coordinates with the police of the commune, ward, or town to review information of 6-year-old children who have not attended preschool, especially the "Current residence" information in the parent's VNeID.
Step 2: The People's Committee of the commune, ward, or town updates the list of 6-year-old children who have not yet attended preschool on the primary school enrollment database system. At the same time, notify parents to check and confirm the information on the primary school enrollment page https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, if parents do not review data or confirm information within the prescribed time, the primary school admission system will automatically consider that parents have approved all available information and use it as an official basis in the admission process.
"Requests for changes made after the prescribed review period will not be processed, except in special cases and with legitimate reasons," the department's document stated.
Time to conduct review
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that from now until April 3, preschools and primary schools will review and update final year student data on the industry database at https://csdl.hcm.edu.vn; Verify student identification data with the national population database; Synchronize final year student data from the industry database to the primary school enrollment database. After this time, all requests for changes will not be processed, except in special cases and with legitimate reasons.
