According to the South Korean Presidential Office, on October 29, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone call and condemned military cooperation between Russia and North Korea.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said Russia may implement a partnership pact he signed with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in June, under which the two countries agreed to support each other if either is attacked.

According to the content of the phone call published on social network X, President Zelensky said that he agreed with South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol on strengthening communication between the two countries at all levels, to develop strategies and measures to deal with North Korea's involvement in the conflict in Ukraine.
"We also agreed to increase the exchange of intelligence and expertise, increase contacts at all levels, especially the highest level, to develop an action strategy and countermeasures to address this escalation, as well as engage our common partners in coordination," Zelensky added.
Meanwhile, North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui is also visiting Moscow. Information from the Russian Embassy in North Korea said that Minister Choe's visit to Russia is part of the "strategic dialogue" under the agreement to strengthen relations that the leaders of the two countries agreed to at the June 2024 Summit.
In accordance with the spirit and terms of the new treaty, the two sides will regularly engage in in-depth consultations on bilateral relations and international politics at the level of deputy ministers, foreign ministers and heads of ministries and sectors.
The discussion is expected to cover a wide range of issues, including the possibility of organizing a visit by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to Russia, as early as early 2025.
