( Bqp.vn ) - On the afternoon of December 12, in Hanoi, Comrade Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission, Head of the Central Steering Committee to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the country in the three years 2023 - 2025 and General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense chaired the inspection of the general rehearsal of the program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day.

Speaking after the rehearsal, General Phan Van Giang affirmed that the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day are important events for the country and the Army. Therefore, he requested agencies and units to closely coordinate and promptly complete the remaining important tasks; do a good job of preparing in all aspects, focusing on ensuring absolute security and safety so that the celebration can take place successfully, leaving a good impression on the leaders of the Party, State, international guests and compatriots and soldiers nationwide.
General Phan Van Giang also noted that the decoration work at the celebration must ensure solemnity, properly reflecting the scale and stature of the event. The weapons and equipment displayed at the celebration must be arranged and placed in reasonable positions, demonstrating the strength of the Army. Regarding the epic art performance program at the celebration, General Phan Van Giang requested the General Department of Politics to direct agencies and units to urgently supplement, edit and complete the script, ensuring a tight and logical layout between music, commentary and illustration, in which the process of birth, construction, fighting and growth of the Vietnam People's Army must be highlighted, especially the important achievements and milestones in the struggles for national liberation, national reunification as well as in the period of building and developing the country later; at the same time, highlighting the functions of the fighting army, the working army, and the production labor army of the Vietnam People's Army.

As planned, the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th Anniversary of the National Defense Day will be solemnly organized by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly, the President, the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Central Military Commission - Ministry of National Defense at the National Convention Center (expected on December 20, 2024). The ceremony will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam and the National Defense Television Channel.
