(MPI) - On the afternoon of February 3, 2025, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the Government Standing Committee met with ministries and branches to assess the Tet situation and deploy key tasks after Tet. Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung attended the meeting.

Reports and opinions at the meeting assessed that in order to prepare well for the conditions to serve the people to celebrate the Lunar New Year of At Ty in 2025, ministries, agencies, localities, and functional forces have seriously implemented the directives of the Secretariat and the Prime Minister on organizing Tet.
Localities, ministries and branches pay attention to taking care of people's material and spiritual lives; fully and promptly implement social security policies; focus on activities of gratitude and affection towards war invalids, martyrs' families and people with meritorious services to the revolution.
Speaking at the meeting held on the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that after 95 years of shouldering the historic mission of bringing our country from misery to independence and freedom, fighting foreign invaders, protecting the country, successfully carrying out the renovation process, achieving great achievements of historical significance, our country has never had the foundation, potential, position and international prestige as it does today.
After the COVID-19 pandemic, the world crisis with issues related to war and peace, the environment, peace, cooperation and development, we further affirm that we are entering a new era, an era of wealth, prosperity, civilization, and people are increasingly prosperous and happy.
The Prime Minister reviewed the situation during this year's Tet holiday and emphasized that the organization of preparations and celebrations for Tet basically achieved the set goals under the direction of the Secretariat, the Government and the Prime Minister; creating an exciting and enthusiastic atmosphere for the whole nation, creating momentum and strength for the whole country to enter 2025.
Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, the Prime Minister said that the Government Party Committee will soon hold its first conference to deploy tasks; ministries, branches and localities must strictly implement 13 main groups of tasks and 67 specific tasks that need to be focused on immediately after Tet.
Along with that, well prepare the contents to serve the upcoming National Assembly session; continue to complete the strategic infrastructure projects being implemented and well prepare for the implementation of large infrastructure projects in the coming time such as railway projects, nuclear power plants, etc.
Right after Tet is also the festival season. The Prime Minister noted that, along with implementing regular tasks, it is necessary to organize well so that people can participate in joyful, healthy, safe festivals, and fight against superstition, waste, etc.
The Prime Minister requested that members of the Government continue to try and strive with a clear mindset, high determination, great efforts, drastic and effective actions, doing things properly, finishing things right away, discussing things must be clear, only discussing, not backtracking, saying things must be done, committing to them must be done, bringing about efficiency and concrete products./.
