Seminar on Aesthetics in the Language of Dance

(BD) - On the afternoon of July 12, the Binh Dinh Dance Artists Association (Provincial Arts and Literature Association) in collaboration with the Vietnam Dance Artists Association of Binh Dinh Province (Vietnam Dance Artists Association) organized a seminar on Aesthetics in the language of dance, with the participation of more than 50 delegates who are experts, cultural researchers, representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Department of Culture and Sports, Vietnam Dance Artists Association; Dance Artists Association of Can Tho City and Da Nang City; Union of Arts and Literature Associations of Can Tho City.

The Binh Dinh Dance Artists Association was established in 2013 and currently has 14 members. The Vietnam Dance Artists Association of Binh Dinh Province was established in 2019 and currently has 7 members. Over the past time, choreographers, artists and dancers in Binh Dinh have contributed to the success of many cultural and artistic activities in the locality. Dance artists are constantly innovating, creating and updating new performance methods that contain traditional values of the nation and contemporary breath, honoring beauty, criticizing ugliness, and imbuing a profound humanistic spirit in each artistic product to rise up to be worthy of the country's development.

At the seminar, experts, choreographers, and dancers discussed and shared their opinions to clarify many issues related to aesthetics in dance language, such as: Dance art with the values of truth, goodness, and beauty for the purpose of building modern Vietnamese people; aesthetic characteristics in dance art; the beauty of Tuong choreography; the interaction between music and dance; the value of touching the inner self that creates aesthetics in dance language... From there, it helps choreographers and dancers of the Binh Dinh Dance Artists Association and the Vietnam Dance Artists Association of Binh Dinh province to improve their theoretical aspects in research and creation, contributing to the enrichment and development of culture and art in general, and dance art in particular, to serve the spiritual life of the people, towards building a comprehensively developed Vietnamese culture and people.

On this occasion, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association presented literary and artistic publications published by the Association to the Vietnam Dance Artists Association and the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Can Tho City.
