At the seminar, delegates and scientists discussed and clarified the historical values of Tuong Duong land, rich in revolutionary and cultural traditions. After many separations, mergers, and name changes at different stages, the name Tuong Duong was officially born in 1469 as a district-level administrative unit.

Currently, Tuong Duong is a district with a large natural area, accounting for 17% of the province's total area, with 17 communes and towns and 6 ethnic groups living together: Thai, Kinh, Kho Mu, Mong, O Du, Tay Poong.

Speaking at the seminar, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu affirmed: 555 years of the name Tuong Duong is a milestone marking the historical and development journey of the district. This is also an opportunity for leaders, party members and people of Tuong Duong district to look back on the past historical journey, see more clearly the historical, cultural and human values that the ethnic groups of Tuong Duong have created, preserved and passed down through generations; Arouse in each person the will, determination and strength of great solidarity of the ethnic groups to create momentum for new breakthroughs in the coming term.

Accordingly, the cadres and people of Tuong Duong need to focus on core issues in development, taking culture and people as the foundation; ensuring national defense, security and foreign affairs as essential; must create a unique color and mark of Tuong Duong in the economic and social development chain of the Western Nghe An region. In the immediate future, the district needs to focus on implementing the arrangement of the apparatus in the spirit of Resolution No. 18 of the Central Executive Committee, Conclusion No. 09 of the Central Steering Committee and the province's plan; well prepare the conditions to conduct the grassroots congress and the district Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
