The exhibition will be held at Hoi An Prison relic (No. 240/12 Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Hoi An City) from May 19, 2025, displaying more than 200 images and artifacts related to Da Lat Children's Prison and Da Lat City today.
The exhibition combines a book display with the theme “Unified Country”, introducing publications about the Party, Uncle Ho and documents about the resistance war against the US to save the country. There is also a special talk program “Upstream of memories” by former prisoners with the young generation of Hoi An City.
The exhibition is an activity towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); contributing to the propaganda and education of the historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions of the previous generation; honoring and expressing gratitude to the young revolutionary soldiers who devoted their youth to the cause of fighting for national independence and national reunification.
Dalat Children's Prison was built by the old regime in 1971 under the name of Dalat Children's Rehabilitation Center, where more than 600 revolutionary-minded teenagers aged 12-17 were detained, gathered from enemy prisons in the South, including many children from Hoi An, Quang Nam.
