TPO - The Meteorological Agency forecasts that tomorrow (February 27), the heat in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region will temporarily ease. In the next 3-5 days, the heat will tend to increase again.
According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, yesterday (February 25), widespread heat waves occurred in the Eastern region and locally in the Southwestern region with the highest temperature in the Eastern region ranging from 35 - 37 degrees Celsius.
It is forecasted that today, the heat wave will continue to occur widely, with severe heat in some areas in the Eastern provinces and expanding to the Western provinces. The heat wave will last from 12:00 to 16:00 during the day. On February 27, the heat wave will decrease slightly.
In Ho Chi Minh City, today (February 26), heat waves will continue to occur widely with the highest temperature from 35 - 36 degrees Celsius. Tomorrow (February 27), the heat waves will temporarily subside.
It is forecasted that in the next 3 - 5 days, the heat will tend to increase again.

“Hot weather combined with high ultraviolet (UV) index affects people’s health when participating in outdoor activities for a long time. Along with that, low humidity in the air, dry weather, need to prevent fire and explosion” - Southern Hydrometeorological Station recommends.
Strong winds and big waves at sea
Currently, in the sea area from Ba Ria - Vung Tau to Ca Mau, there is a Northeast wind with medium to strong intensity and at level 5 - 6, gusting to level 6 - 7, waves from 1.8 - 2.6m high. The sea is slightly rough to rough. The sea area from Ca Mau - Kien Giang has strong winds of level 4 - 5; waves from 0.7 - 1.2m high.
The Southern Hydrometeorological Station forecasts that in the next 24 - 48 hours, the Northeast wind in the Ba Ria - Vung Tau - Ca Mau sea area will continue to operate with strong intensity, at level 5 - 6, gusting to level 6 - 7, waves from 1.6 - 2.3m high. The sea will be slightly rough to rough.
“The risk level of natural disasters due to strong winds in the Ba Ria Vung Tau - Ca Mau sea area is at level 2. Strong winds and big waves pose a danger to ships and boats in this sea area” - Southern Hydrometeorological Station said.
