Pepper prices today, March 26, 2025, recorded a sharp increase of VND 3,000/kg in all regions, bringing the average price to VND 159,400/kg. Specifically, Gia Lai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Binh Phuoc all reached VND 159,000/kg, while Dak Lak and Dak Nong had higher prices, reaching VND 160,000/kg.

World pepper prices on March 26, 2025 showed stability in most markets, except for Indonesia, which recorded a slight decrease of 0.37 USD/ton. Specifically, black pepper and white pepper in Indonesia reached 7,214 USD/ton (185,977 VND/kg) and 10,032 USD/ton (258,625 VND/kg), respectively.

Meanwhile, Brazil, Malaysia and Vietnam kept prices unchanged, with Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 at $7,000/ton (VND180,460/kg), Malaysian black pepper ASTA at $9,900/ton (VND255,222/kg), and Malaysian white pepper ASTA at the highest at $12,400/ton (VND319,672/kg). In Vietnam, black pepper 500g/l and 550g/l reached $7,100/ton (VND183,038/kg) and $7,300/ton (VND188,194/kg), respectively, while ASTA white pepper was at $10,100/ton (VND260,378/kg).

The global pepper market is currently quite stable, but the price drop in Indonesia could signal downward pressure in the future if demand does not increase.

Pepper prices are forecast to continue to increase slightly tomorrow, March 27, 2025, fluctuating between 159,000 - 160,000 VND/kg. Import demand from the US and EU is expected to increase sharply in the second quarter, while supply from major exporting countries such as Brazil and Indonesia continues to face difficulties due to unfavorable weather. Farmers' stockpiling psychology also affects the market, causing pepper sales to be small. However, in the long term, pepper price prospects remain positive thanks to increased demand from major markets and expectations that China will soon increase imports again.

Pepper prices online and in localities such as Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Binh Phuoc, Gia Lai will continue to be closely monitored in the context of market fluctuations. Despite short-term challenges, the medium-term outlook for pepper prices remains positive.
