Positive signals in new business development

Although investment, production and business development activities still face many difficulties, with efforts to implement support solutions, the development of new enterprises in the province still records positive signals.

In recent years, Trieu Son has been one of the localities that has always "gone first" in developing new enterprises. It is known that, along with applying the mechanisms and policies of the Central Government and the province, issuing many policies to encourage business households and individuals to convert to establish enterprises, Trieu Son district has been active in solutions to improve the investment and business environment, encouraging enterprises to invest in the district. The locality also regularly reviews, updates, and publicizes socio-economic development plans, land use plans and orientations for commodity production areas, as a basis for calling for and facilitating the work of attracting enterprises to invest in the area. Along with more than 500 operating enterprises, in the first 7 months of 2024, Trieu Son has established 82 new enterprises, exceeding 9.3% of the yearly plan and increasing by 32.3% over the same period.

In the coming time, Trieu Son district identifies the development of new enterprises as an important task, the basis and driving force for economic development, promoting economic restructuring and creating new jobs for workers. The district People's Committee will continue to review and grasp the activities of enterprises to have appropriate support activities, at the same time coordinate to organize training courses, foster, raise legal awareness and support enterprises with knowledge and experience in business administration.

As one of the districts still facing many difficulties, but entering 2024, Nhu Xuan district also achieved new developments in enterprise establishment, exceeding 33.3% of the assigned plan and increasing 17.6% over the same period. According to Head of the Finance - Planning Department of Nhu Xuan district Nguyen Quang Truong, the reason for this result is that from the beginning of the year, the district focused on and carried out early propaganda, encouragement and mobilization of qualified business households to convert their operations to the enterprise model. In addition, the District People's Committee also directed specialized departments and offices to pay attention to reviewing, grasping and promptly removing difficulties, doing a good job of site clearance and continuing to invest in infrastructure, creating favorable conditions for attracting investment.

According to the Business Registration Office (Department of Planning and Investment), in the first 7 months of 2024, the whole province established 1,919 new enterprises, equal to 63.9% of the plan and an increase of 23.8% over the same period. The total capital registered by enterprises reached 15,371.7 billion VND, an increase of 50.1%. Notably, many localities soon completed and exceeded the plan targets for the whole year of 2024 such as the districts: Trieu Son, Nhu Xuan, Thuong Xuan, Thieu Hoa, Nong Cong, Quan Son.

Along with that, many localities assigned with a large number of enterprises have also achieved positive results compared to the plan and increased compared to the same period, typically: Thanh Hoa city newly established 781/1,470 enterprises, reaching 53.1% of the plan; Tho Xuan district newly established 107/150 enterprises, reaching 60% of the plan; Nghi Son town newly established 108/165 enterprises, reaching 65.5% of the plan...

According to the plan, in 2024, Thanh Hoa province strives to establish 3,000 or more new enterprises. This is one of the goals for Thanh Hoa to complete the plan to establish 15,000 or more new enterprises during the entire term. Currently, localities are continuing to promote propaganda and mobilization of individuals and business owners to convert into enterprises by specific measures such as: assigning officials to guide procedures and documents for converting into enterprises, consulting on business orientation, supporting legal regulations, software and accounting practices.

The Department of Planning and Investment is also continuing to promote the reception and processing of dossiers and online public services at levels 3 and 4 for the fields of enterprise establishment and operation; at the same time, strengthening training and fostering to improve management skills for the team of entrepreneurs, meeting integration requirements. In addition, the Department is continuing to focus on effectively implementing the Law on Support for Small and Medium Enterprises in conjunction with the Project on Enterprise Development in Thanh Hoa Province for the period 2021-2025; implementing policies to support enterprises according to Resolution No. 214/2022/NQ-HDND of the 18th Provincial People's Council on policies to support enterprise development in the area for the period 2022-2026.
