Looking for export opportunities to Laos market

On June 20, the Trade Promotion Delegation of Binh Thuan province led by the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Van Dang had a working session with the Department of Trade and Handicraft Promotion - Ministry of Industry and Trade of Laos. This activity is part of the trade promotion program of Binh Thuan province in Vientiane Capital.

The delegation was received by Mr. Dala Indavong, Deputy Director of the Department of Trade and Handicraft Promotion - Ministry of Industry and Trade of Laos, along with representatives of Lao authorities and businesses.

At the meeting, the two sides shared information and suggested suitable solutions to promote cooperation, creating favorable conditions for Binh Thuan enterprises to trade with Lao enterprises; contributing to bringing the brand of Binh Thuan's typical products to approach and have a firm foothold in the Lao market.

Informing the leaders of the Department of Trade and Handicraft Promotion - Ministry of Industry and Trade of Laos and representatives of functional agencies and enterprises of Laos, Standing Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee Phan Van Dang gave an overview of the socio-economic situation of Binh Thuan. To promote trade activities, Binh Thuan enterprises are learning more about market price information, regimes and policies when exporting to the Lao market; the needs and consumer tastes of Lao people.

At the meeting, Mr. Phan Van Dang hoped that the Department of Trade and Handicraft Promotion - Ministry of Industry and Trade of Laos will be a bridge to introduce to Lao enterprises to consume advantageous products of Binh Thuan province such as: dragon fruit, cashew nuts, seafood, fish sauce, construction materials, quality industrial products.

At the same time, Lao authorities will create a legal corridor and a favorable environment for investors and businesses in Binh Thuan to access the Lao market to cooperate and do business in advantageous fields of Binh Thuan province; promote investment and trade activities, and seek cooperation and business opportunities between the two sides.

On this occasion, Binh Thuan enterprises displayed typical agricultural, forestry and fishery products of the province to support product promotion and trade connection with Vietnamese enterprises in Laos as well as Lao enterprises.
