Groundbreaking ceremony for social housing project in Ha Nam

On the morning of April 19, the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUD - Ministry of Construction ) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of buildings B1 and B2 - a social housing investment project in Dong Van ward, Duy Tien town, Ha Nam province. The event was attended by Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien and representatives of relevant ministries and branches.

Proactive in investing in building social housing

The groundbreaking ceremony practically celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), International Labor Day (May 1) and welcomes Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress, implementing the requirements in Official Dispatch No. 33/CD-TTg dated April 7, 2025 of the Prime Minister .

Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of buildings B1 and B2 - a social housing investment project in Ha Nam province.

A representative of HUD Corporation said that in Ha Nam province, HUD Corporation has completed the Chau Son New Urban Area project with a scale of 41 hectares, handed it over to customers for use and handed it over to local authorities for management and operation.

The Corporation participated in the bidding to select investors and was approved by the People's Committee of Ha Nam province as the investor of the Social Housing Project in Dong Van Ward, Duy Tien Town, Ha Nam Province in Decision No. 2226/QD-UBND dated December 24, 2021.

“ The project has a scale of 4.9 hectares including 4 social housing apartment buildings 9 floors high with 564 apartments with areas from 36-69 m2 and 77 low-rise houses, the total investment of the project is 655 billion VND. The project is invested in synchronous technical infrastructure, full utilities such as kindergartens, green parks, swimming pools, public services... in the direction of a green, civilized, modern urban area ", the representative of HUD Corporation informed.

This is also a typical project in the social housing development program of HUD Corporation participating in the Government's project to develop 1 million social housing apartments in the 2021-2030 period, which is one of the key goals of the emulation movement to achieve achievements to welcome the 6th Congress of the Party Committee of the Corporation for the 2025-2030 term.

Speed ​​up construction work

According to the representative of HUD Corporation, after being approved by the People's Committee of Ha Nam province as the project investor, the Corporation quickly implemented the project preparation procedures and organized the implementation of investment and construction.

The design and selection of finishing materials are given special attention, thus creating social housing that is optimal in terms of functionality. All rooms in the apartment are exposed to natural ventilation and lighting, and the finishing materials are harmonious, synchronous and highly aesthetic, as you have visited the model apartment and the actual apartment handed over to the customer.

In addition, the common living space, public facilities, and landscape create a harmonious whole, an attractive and typical social housing project.

The representative of HUD Corporation said that, up to now, the project has basically completed the construction of technical infrastructure items according to the approved planning, completed the construction of 2 buildings A1, A2, 9 floors high with a total floor area of ​​25,113 ^m2 , 282 apartments, is implementing the procedures for acceptance of construction work and carrying out the construction of gardens and landscapes at the project, striving to complete acceptance and put into use in June 2025.

Recently, the Corporation has conducted a bidding to select a contractor to construct the remaining two buildings B1 and B2 with a scale equivalent to the two buildings A1 and A2. On April 11, 2025, the contract was signed and awarded to the construction contractor. To date, the two buildings have met the conditions to start construction according to regulations.

In 2025, the Corporation will focus resources to continue to accelerate the construction of the remaining project items, ensuring progress, quality and safety. The goal is to topple buildings B1 and B2 in the fourth quarter of 2025 and complete the entire project in the second quarter of 2026.

When completed, the project will provide social housing with safe, modern apartments at attractive prices of only about 11.5 million VND/ ^m2 for workers and laborers working in Duy Tien town and Ha Nam province.
