Meanwhile, responding to VNA, Vietjet Air confirmed that the two flight attendants in the above reflection were not part of the airline's crew.
Similarly, Bamboo Airlines said it was aware of the information. The airline is waiting for verification from the authorities and has not commented at this time.
Representatives of the companies said that individuals who violate the law or labor regulations must be strictly handled according to regulations, and the company will not cover up.
Reporters contacted the leaders of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam but have not received a response.
Previously, on the MBC website, it was reported that the Incheon City Police Department, west of Seoul (South Korea) arrested two female flight attendants out of four crew members of a Vietnamese airline on suspicion of carrying drugs.
Two flight attendants are suspected of hiding liquid marijuana (cannabis essential oil) worth 300 million won (more than 5.4 billion VND) in cosmetic containers and bringing it into Korea since April 2023.
Confessing to the police, the two flight attendants said they delivered goods from Vietnam to Korea for a fee of about 68,000 won to 150,000 won (from about 1.2 million to 2.7 million VND) per delivery.
The flight attendants said they only accepted the shipment without knowing that it contained marijuana.
