Thuy Vu (AC&M) is the champion of "Global Vietnamese Singing"

After winning first prize in the European round of the "Global Vietnamese Singing Contest" held on November 11, 2023 in Berlin, Germany, Thuy Vu returned to Vietnam to participate in the final Gala round held at the Hanoi Opera House.

In the recent final gala night, Thuy Vu performed the song "Come here, baby" by Trinh Nam Son. Thuy Vu's performance captivated the audience, making them applaud right from the low notes.

Thuy Vu also conquered the judges including: Bang Kieu, Siu Black, Ho Quang Tam, Nguyen Minh Cuong, Ngo Ba Luc... and won the final victory before the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024.

Thuy Vu said that although he has many years of experience in professional singing, this is the first time he has participated in a major music competition. Like many other contestants, he had to go through challenges from the judges.

"This award is not the beginning but a new achievement, a beautiful mark in my singing career. Having participated in the contest, no matter how difficult it is, I think I still have to try to overcome myself first and whatever the result is, I feel happy" - Thuy Vu shared.

Being a rather quiet person, Thuy Vu's participation and winning the singing contest surprised many people. Many people commented that his quiet personality was a weakness that caused him to lose many opportunities to develop himself and his career, but Thuy Vu saw it as an advantage.

Especially living in Europe, the cradle of many high-level arts, Thuy Vu has many opportunities to approach and learn the beauty of music, which is also a favorable condition for him to bring his singing to audiences everywhere.

In the near future, Thuy Vu will release a music album consisting of new and old songs with new arrangements to thank the audience for their love and support. In addition, the male singer also intends to perform a small music night with familiar guests.

AC&M (short for A Capella & More) is an a capella group that was famous in the 2000s. Founded in 2001, the group consisted of 4 members: Nam Khanh, Thuy Vu, Dinh Bao, Hoang Bach. In 2009, the group performed for the last time before disbanding at the event My Le in Symphony.
