The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee approved the content of the Congress of the Farmers' Association of Ha Tinh province.

Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Trung Dung requested: The goals and directions of the Congress of the Farmers' Association of Ha Tinh province for the 2023-2028 term must closely follow the direction of the 13th National Congress of the Party, which is to build ecological agriculture, modern countryside and civilized farmers.

On the afternoon of August 22, under the chairmanship of Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Trung Dung, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee organized the approval of the content of the 10th Provincial Farmers' Association Congress, term 2023 - 2028.

Attending the meeting were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board Vo Hong Hai, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Board Truong Thanh Huyen, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Tran Nhat Tan, and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau.

Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Trung Dung raised the issue at the meeting.

According to the report of the Provincial Farmers' Association, in preparation for the 10th Provincial Farmers' Association Congress, term 2023 - 2028, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association has recently consulted, issued decisions, reports, and plans to serve the congress. At the same time, it has directly worked with the Party Committees and authorities of districts, towns, and cities to strengthen the direction and remove difficulties in the process of preparing and organizing the Farmers' Association Congress at the district and grassroots levels.

Up to now, farmers' associations of 13/13 districts, cities, towns and farmers' associations of 216 communes, wards, and towns have completed organizing congresses.

Regarding the preparation for the provincial congress, up to now, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association has developed and prepared a draft political report, a review report of the Provincial Farmers' Association Executive Committee, term IX, a personnel plan, a congress program and related documents and materials. It is expected that the 10th Provincial Farmers' Association Congress will be held in mid-September 2023.

Regarding propaganda and activities to welcome the congress, the Provincial Farmers' Association has developed a plan for propaganda, decoration, celebration, and propaganda content on Ha Tinh Newspaper, Ha Tinh Radio and Television; organized cultural, artistic, and sports activities; directed the Farmers' Associations of districts, cities, and towns to hang welcoming slogans in central areas, main roads, and agencies and units.

The Provincial Farmers' Association has also launched projects to welcome the congress with specific and practical actions such as: establishing models, cooperatives, building model gardens; mobilizing members to donate land to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas; organizing activities to build charity houses for poor members; repairing residential houses, giving gifts to policy families, families of members in difficult circumstances, etc.

Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission Truong Thanh Huyen commented on some contents of the draft political report.

At the meeting, delegates contributed comments and added content related to the draft political report, the congress program and conditions to ensure the organization of the congress; gave opinions on the goals, targets and directions of the congress for the 2023-2028 term.

Concluding the working session, Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Trung Dung highly appreciated the congress preparation work of the Provincial Farmers' Association and the results achieved by all levels of the association in the past time.

The Provincial Party Secretary said that the draft political report needs to be reviewed, arranged in a suitable and harmonious structure and content between the parts. At the same time, it is necessary to clarify the following contents: the role of farmers in building new rural areas, focusing on land accumulation and implementing organic agriculture and circular agriculture; the role of the association in participating in Party and government building; the supervisory and critical functions of the Farmers' Association; the spirit of solidarity and democracy in the association; the role of the Farmers' Association in guiding its members in implementing the policies and laws of the Party and the State; the role of the association in consuming agricultural products for farmers, etc.

Regarding goals and directions, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that it is necessary to closely follow the general direction of the 13th National Congress of the Party, which is to build ecological agriculture, modern countryside and civilized farmers; to take the lead in organic agricultural production and circular agriculture; to promote the cultural traditions of Ha Tinh people and to promote the role of the Farmers' Association in coordinating with the Cooperative Union to deploy effective collective economic models.

In addition, the Provincial Party Secretary also gave specific opinions on the time, program, congress theme, personnel plan, etc. for the Provincial Farmers' Association to review and complete the contents.
