The water and road traffic police forces of Hue City coordinated with the army and local authorities to promptly approach and take 7 pregnant women who gave birth in the flood and a seriously ill old woman to the hospital.

Specifically, at around 1:40 p.m. on November 15, at the gas station on Provincial Road 28, the patrol force of the Traffic Police - Order Team, Hue City Police discovered a pregnant woman on her way to the hospital to give birth stuck in the flood there, and promptly took the pregnant woman to Hue Central Hospital.
Next, the Hue City Police River Police force used a specialized canoe to cross the flood, promptly approached and rescued 4 other pregnant women who were stuck on Dinh Market Bridge on their way to give birth, and brought them safely to Hue Central Hospital.
The river police force also received a request for support from the Phu Thanh commune government (Hue City) who needed support for an elderly woman with a serious illness who needed emergency hospitalization. The soldiers drove a canoe to the downstream of the Huong River, picked up the woman and took her to Dong Ba bus station, from where the traffic police force used a car to take her to the Hue Central Hospital for emergency treatment.

Forecasting that the flood situation will have many complicated developments, the Traffic Police - Public Order of Hue City Police are implementing many measures to divert traffic, place danger signs, barricades... in front of flooded and landslide areas to warn people. At the same time, officers and soldiers are assigned to be on duty 24/7 at flooded areas, supporting people in dangerous situations.

Together with the police force, the Military Command of Thua Thien - Hue province urgently mobilized officers and soldiers of the regular army and militia to quickly evacuate people to safety.
Military forces approached and brought an elderly man to safety.
Lieutenant Colonel Le Duc Hiep, Commander of the Hue City Military Command, said that by 2 p.m. on November 15, the Hue City Military Command had mobilized nearly 700 officers and soldiers of the regular army and militia from 36 wards and communes to coordinate with local forces to support people in overcoming rain and floods, including evacuating 355 households/1,108 people to safe shelters; directing forces to stay in the area and help people move their assets to higher ground. Currently, the Hue City Military Command has directed the military commands of communes and wards to mobilize forces to set up checkpoints in deeply flooded and key areas.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quyet Tien, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Huong Thuy Town Military Command, said: Huong Thuy Town Military Command has mobilized more than 320 officers, soldiers, militia and self-defense forces and 1 canoe to urgently go to low-lying areas, focusing on Thuy Phu and Thuy Thanh communes to help people; 165 households/448 people have been evacuated from deeply flooded areas. In particular, officers and soldiers of Huong Thuy Town Military Command have supported the transfer of 12 women about to give birth and 7 people who were sick and bedridden to hospitals and medical facilities in the area to ensure safety; in addition, forces have been mobilized to support moving furniture to high places for more than 7,650 households that were flooded from 0.8 to 1.5 m.
Food and necessities are delivered to people's homes to prevent prolonged rain and floods.
In Phong Dien District, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Minh Phong, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Phong Dien District Military Command, said: Phong Dien District Military Command has deployed 100% of its military force to 16 communes and towns to be on standby, ready to respond to any natural disaster situation occurring in the district. The district Military Command has coordinated with forces to evacuate 325 households/750 people in Phong An, Phong Son, Phong Thu, Phong Hien, Phong Binh, Phong My, and Phong Hoa communes to safety.
Floods have affected thousands of households in Thua Thien - Hue province. As of late November 15, many areas were still deeply flooded and many places were isolated.
With the motto "not to let any people suffer from hunger or cold", the Military Command of Thua Thien - Hue province has resolutely directed agencies, units, and military commands of 9 districts, towns, and Hue city to mobilize thousands of officers, soldiers, militia, and specialized vehicles to each village and alley to help people. In addition to helping people, the Military Command of Thua Thien Hue province has directed the Military Commands of districts, towns, and Hue City to coordinate with local forces to have plans to support temporary accommodation, food, and necessities for evacuees, ensuring a stable life for people in difficult times.
