On the evening of February 2 (the 5th day of the Lunar New Year), during his working program in Lang Son, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited, presented gifts, and encouraged the Border Guard force and functional forces on duty at Tan Thanh Border Gate (Lang Son).
On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister commended and welcomed the functional forces for doing a good job of being on duty during this Tet holiday.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need to continue efforts to build smart border gates, a peaceful, friendly, stable, cooperative and developing border with China, on the basis of a deep understanding of the Vietnam-China relationship as both comrades and brothers, building a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future has strategic significance, and attaching importance to relations with China is an objective requirement, a strategic choice, and a top priority in overall foreign relations.
The Prime Minister directed the forces to increase exchanges with Chinese functional forces, contributing to promoting more people-to-people exchanges, more economic connections, and more customs clearance in 2025 - the year marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - China diplomatic relations, bringing practical benefits to the two countries and peoples.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister also requested that functional forces actively participate in the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in the spirit of everyone contributing what they have, everyone contributing their own work, everyone contributing their own property, everyone contributing a lot, everyone contributing a little, creating a movement and trend for the poor, for the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.
