The Prime Minister recognized Hau Loc district as meeting new rural standards.

On January 2, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed the Prime Minister's Decision recognizing Hau Loc district (Thanh Hoa) as meeting new rural standards.

Specifically, in Decision No. 5/QD-TTg dated January 2, 2025, the Prime Minister decided to recognize Hau Loc district, Thanh Hoa province as meeting new rural standards in 2023.

The Prime Minister assigned the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province to be responsible for announcing and rewarding according to regulations; directed the People's Committee of Hau Loc district to continue to maintain and improve the quality of criteria, focusing on economic and environmental criteria to ensure sustainability in new rural construction.

Since 2011, Hau Loc district has focused on propaganda so that cadres and people understand the content, meaning and implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction according to the motto "people do, people enjoy", "use people's strength to care for people".

With the goal of improving people's lives and incomes, the district promotes economic development, focusing on restructuring agriculture, suitable for each region and adapting to climate change; forming large-scale concentrated specialized production areas, applying science and technology to cultivation; developing small-scale handicrafts, trade services associated with solving on-site jobs for workers.

Thanks to that, in 2023, the average income per capita of Hau Loc district reached 59.33 million VND; the poverty rate was 2.04%.

Total mobilized capital for basic construction investment in the area in the 2011-2023 period reached more than 13,000 billion VND.

Up to now, Hau Loc has 21/21 communes meeting new rural standards, including 3 advanced new rural communes; the district has met 9/9 new rural criteria.
