Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Lam becomes VTV General Director

(CLO) On November 1, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed a decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam to the position of General Director of Vietnam Television.


According to Decision No. 1311/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, to hold the position of General Director of Vietnam Television (VTV).

Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Lam is the General Director of VTV1.

New VTV General Director Nguyen Thanh Lam

The term of appointment of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam is 5 years. The decision takes effect from November 1. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam is the General Director of VTV, replacing Mr. Le Ngoc Quang, who was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee on October 31.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam was born in 1972, from Hanoi.

Before holding the position of Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam worked for many years at VTV, holding the positions of General Director of VTC Digital Television Station, Director of Radio and Television Department, and Director of the Press Department.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam was appointed Deputy Minister of Information and Communications in September 2022.

With the newly completed personnel, VTV's leadership currently has 5 people, including General Director Nguyen Thanh Lam and 4 Deputy General Directors: Dinh Dac Vinh, Do Thanh Hai, Do Duc Hoang, Le Quyen.
