The Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro have a different design than previous Galaxy Buds models. This is the first time Samsung has equipped TWS headphones with traditional ear buds, with the Galaxy Buds 3 being designed as an open type while the Buds 3 Pro (right) is an in-ear type. These two models will compete with the AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro 2.
Due to the design change, the case has also been redesigned with a lid. The lid is transparent and cut deep down to make it easier to take out the headphones. Next to the USB-C charging port, the device has an additional button to activate the Bluetooth connection, making the connection easier than the usual way of tapping the two headphones.
The battery life of Buds 3 Pro is better than before with 6 hours of music listening with noise cancellation on and 30 hours when used with the charging case. Meanwhile, Buds 3 has the same battery life as Buds 2 Pro, which is 5 hours with noise cancellation on and up to 18 hours with the charging case.
With an ear stem design, the Galaxy Buds 3 series is controlled by swiping or touching the ear stem. The Buds 3 Pro version has two more LED strips that can be adjusted to display more beautifully. The product's water and dust resistance has also increased to IP57 instead of the previous IPX7.
The Galaxy Buds 3 lack noise cancellation due to their open design, while the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro feature ANC and adaptive EQ.
The headset uses a microphone to detect external sounds such as noise, sirens or voices to increase noise cancellation or automatically switch to transparency mode, EQ is also adjusted to help users have the best sound experience.
The product still uses two audio drivers but has been improved to increase the response frequency to 40 kHz, double the previous generation. It comes with a dual amplifier system to increase sound quality. On the new headphone line, Samsung supports SSC UHQ 24 bit/96 Khz music playback, better than the previous generation's HiFi 24 bit/48 kHz. The advantage of this format is that it provides higher quality and smoother sound, but users must use devices and sources in this format.
Users can control the headphones with the Wearable app. However, some features are only supported with Samsung phones, such as using the headphones as a wireless microphone to record sound when recording videos, searching for headphones, similar to Apple's Find My. The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro version also has a live translation feature, but must be used with the latest Samsung phones with AI support such as the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6.
Currently, Galaxy Buds3 Pro costs 5.49 million VND while the Buds3 version is 3.99 million VND.
