Ms. NO (residing in Bac Kan city) expressed extreme confusion because she never thought that one day she would buy fake milk for her child to drink.
Must use milk as prescribed by the hospital
Ms. NO said that before giving birth, she had prepared milk for her baby. On the day of birth, Ms. O's mother planned to use pre-purchased milk, but the medical staff said she could not use formula and had to use milk prescribed by the hospital.
The baby was born prematurely, so since birth, she has trusted the milk bought at the hospital because she thought it would ensure the origin and quality for her child.
Every time she ran out of milk, this mother went to the pharmacy of Bac Kan General Hospital to buy a total of 4 boxes of 400g milk and 8 boxes of 900g milk.
When there was information about fake milk, Ms. O. saw the list and was shocked to find that the milk her child was using was among those brands.
Upon discovering the incident, she immediately reported it to the hospital. However, as of the morning of April 18, Ms. O. and her family have not received any response or answer from Bac Kan General Hospital.
Hospital stops advising on the use of Hapomil milk products in treatment departments
On April 18, Bac Kan General Hospital informed that the hospital has urgently reviewed all dairy products being used at the unit.
Regarding Hapomill milk sold at the pharmacy, the hospital determined that the Hapomil milk product supplied in the hospital (on the list of milk products provided by one of the companies under investigation) was supplied by Happy World International Nutrition Joint Stock Company.
This product was put into use after a bidding process in accordance with legal regulations. The hospital did not sign a direct contract with Rance Pharma International Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company - one of the units investigated in the above case.

Happy World International Nutrition Joint Stock Company - the product supplier for the Hospital - is currently not on the list of companies announced to be involved in the fake milk production line.
However, to ensure the absolute rights and safety of patients, since April 12, the hospital has proactively stopped advising on the use of Hapomil milk products in all treatment departments, and at the same time recalled all products to return to the supplier.
In case Hapomil milk products are concluded to be counterfeit, Bac Kan General Hospital said it will accompany users of the above milk to reclaim their legitimate rights.
According to the leader of the Food Safety Department ( Ministry of Health ), 100% of the fake milk samples that were just discovered were announced by the businesses at the local Food Safety Department. About 10% of the 573 fake milk brands had their quality announced at the Hanoi Food Safety Department, the rest were announced in Hoa Binh, Vinh Phuc and other localities.
