On the morning of June 4, candidates of Hai Phong City took the first exam, Literature, in the 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools in the 2024-2025 school year.

In this exam, Hai Phong has 25,671 candidates taking the general exam, at 44 examination councils with a total of 1,064 examination rooms. The number of candidates taking the specialized exam is 2,078, at 2 examination councils with a total of 183 examination rooms.
There were 3 candidates with health problems taking the exam in the "special" exam rooms of Thai Phien High School (Ngo Quyen District) and Hong Bang High School (Hong Bang District). Among them, 1 candidate had just undergone bone surgery and could not sit, so he was given a separate medical bed to take the exam; 1 candidate had symptoms of fainting due to lack of oxygen and needed regular medical support; 1 candidate had just had an appendectomy on June 1.

The "special" candidate was taken by medical staff in an ambulance and stretcher to the exam site at Thai Phien High School.
According to information from the Hai Phong Department of Education and Training, the city's 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year will take place over two days, June 4 and 5. On the morning of June 4, candidates will take the Literature exam, with a 120-minute test duration, and in the afternoon of the same day, they will take the Foreign Language exam, with a 60-minute test duration. On the morning of June 5, candidates will take the Math exam, with a 120-minute test duration.
