Another suspect in the attack on the People's Committee headquarters in Dak Lak surrendered

The gun attack in Dak Lak was violent, reckless, and inhumane.

On June 14, according to a report from Dak Lak Provincial Police, on the night of June 13, one more person involved in the attack on the People's Committee offices of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes, Cu Kuin district, surrendered.

Thus, up to now, 3 suspects involved in the incident have turned themselves in, bringing the total number of suspects arrested and detained to 46. Dak Lak Provincial Police continue to call on those involved in the attack to turn themselves in to receive leniency.

Security and order in the entire Dak Lak province returned to normal, and regular social activities remained unchanged.

Earlier, in the early morning of June 11, a group of unidentified people used guns to attack the police headquarters of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes, causing the deaths of a number of officers and residents.

During the arrest of the suspects, the authorities rescued two hostages and seized many military weapons, including CKC rifles.

On the afternoon of June 11, the Minister of Public Security signed a decision to posthumously promote the ranks of four commune police officers and soldiers who died in the attack.

Accordingly, the Minister of Public Security decided to posthumously promote Captain Hoang Trung (born in 1981, from Nghi Loc, Nghe An, police officer of Ea Ktur commune, Cu Kuin district) to Major, and posthumously promote Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Dang Nhan (born in 1994, from Yen Thanh, Nghe An, police officer of Ea Ktur commune, Cu Kuin district) to Captain.

Posthumously promote the rank of Major to Captain Tran Quoc Thang (born in 1989, from Thach Ha, Ha Tinh, police officer of Ea Tieu commune, Cu Kuin district), and posthumously promote the rank of Senior Lieutenant Ha Tuan Anh (born in 1991, from Trieu Son, Thanh Hoa, police officer of Ea Tieu commune, Cu Kuin district) to Captain.

On June 12, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang signed a Decision to grant the "Fatherland's Gratitude" Certificate to 4 martyrs of the Ministry of Public Security and 2 martyrs of Dak Lak province who died in the attack on the commune People's Committee headquarters in Cu Kuin district.

The four martyrs of the Ministry of Public Security include: Martyr Hoang Trung - Major of the People's Police, police officer of Ea Ktur commune; Martyr Tran Quoc Thang - Major of the People's Police, police officer of Ea Tieu commune; Martyr Ha Tuan Anh - Captain of the People's Police, police officer of Ea Tieu commune; Martyr Nguyen Dang Nhan - Captain of the People's Police, police officer of Ea Ktur commune.

The two martyrs from Dak Lak province include: Martyr Nguyen Van Kien - Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Ea Ktur commune; Martyr Nguyen Van Dung - Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Tieu commune.
