(NLDO) - Among the 59 Hanoi police officers who applied for early retirement, 15 officers are department heads and district police chiefs.
On February 20, Hanoi City Police announced that in order to promote the spirit of setting an example and a sense of responsibility in implementing the Party and State's major policy on streamlining the local police apparatus and not organizing district-level police, 59 officers holding leadership and command positions at all levels of the City Police voluntarily applied for early retirement. In addition, 10 officers who are department heads and district-level police chiefs voluntarily applied for lower positions than their current positions.

Implementing the new organizational model, the City Police will end the operation of 30 district-level police stations. With the spirit of speed, "running and lining up at the same time", in the recent past, the Hanoi City Police has urgently and synchronously implemented tasks and solutions to serve the work of restructuring the organization and apparatus.
"Hanoi City Police requires units to be proactive, urgent but certain when implementing; minimize disruption and impact on the professional and technical work of each unit; ensure speed, neatness, no interruption of regular operations, no vacant areas, no interruption of security and order work in the area" - the representative of the City Police clearly stated.
According to Hanoi City Police, among the 59 leaders and commanders who have applied for early retirement, 15 are department heads and equivalent, district police chiefs. 19 are deputy department heads and equivalent, deputy district police chiefs. 8 are team leaders and equivalent, commune police chiefs. In addition, 10 department heads and district police chiefs have applied for lower positions.
