Musician Thuy Kha has colon cancer, poor health

(Dan Tri) - Musician Nguyen Thuy Kha has colon cancer and is being treated at Hanoi Medical University Hospital. Many colleagues are worried about his health.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Dr. Nguyen The Hung, an Aesthetician, said that musician Thuy Kha discovered he had colon cancer 6 months ago. He was taken by his relatives to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital (Hanoi) for treatment.

"When she got sick, Thuy Kha lost 10kg and was immobile since her first surgery. In the first few months, when friends came to visit, Kha could still talk clearly," said Dr. Nguyen The Hung, a Aesthetician.

According to Dr. The Hung, musician Thuy Kha calmly and happily accepted his health condition, the male musician said "enough" when talking to friends.

"Only Thuy Kha's close friends understand. Recently, I sold a painting for 3,000 USD, I asked my friends to bring it to the hospital as a gift for Kha. The latest information I know, Kha has passed out, not knowing anything anymore...".

Dr. The Hung said that musician Thuy Kha was a talented person who composed music, criticized music, wrote literature and wrote articles. He was generous, always cheerful and sincere with friends.

Nguyen Thuy Kha was born in 1949 in Hai Phong. He graduated from the University of Information Technology and Nguyen Du Writing School. He served in the army from 1972 to 1990 as an information engineer.

He has been a member of the Vietnam Writers Association since 1990. In addition to writing articles and criticizing music essays, he also composes songs and participates in making musical and literary films.

Musician Thuy Kha won many music awards and theory awards from the Vietnam Musicians Association from 1996 to 2006.

He is the author of the documentary Nguyen Binh Khiem - The 500-year-old shady tree, released in 1991.
