Rules: Photo Contest and Exhibition "Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group"

(NADS) - As part of a series of events celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam National Coal Corporation, now Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) (October 10, 1994 - October 10, 2024); sponsored by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA), Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV) organized the Photo Contest and Exhibition "Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group, 30 years of construction, innovation and development", abbreviated as: TKV - 30 years of construction, innovation and development.

I. PARTICIPANTS​​

Are professional photographers and photography enthusiasts in and outside Vietnam .

II . TOPIC , CONTENT

1. Topic : TKV - 30 years of construction , innovation and development.

2. Content​

- Reflecting the efforts of TKV in the process of construction, innovation and sustainable development; highlights of the Vietnam Coal - Minerals industry; describing the intention of the Competition: TKV is one of the pillars to ensure national energy security, the role of TKV in the development of the country.

- The most beautiful moments of daily life related to the Vietnam Coal - Mineral industry and the image of "Miner - Soldier" in the past period of innovation, development and international economic integration.

- Honestly reflect the production and business activities, cultural life, spirit, cultural and sports movements of the Group's units, as well as the joyful and exciting life, working atmosphere, and production of TKV's officers, workers, and employees.

- Commendation of typical and advanced collectives and individuals in management and business production in the fields of Coal, Electricity, Minerals, Mining Chemicals, Mechanical Engineering, etc.;

- Encourage photos and documents about the history, tradition, formation and development process of the Vietnam Coal - Minerals industry from 1994 to present.

III . REGULATIONS ON COMPETITION WORKS​​​

1. Contest photos in digital format , JPG file format​​​

- The longest length of the photo file is at least 3000 pixels, maximum 4000 pixels, resolution 300dpi ( no captions or names on the photo ). The author uploads the photo to the Organizing Committee's website: http://tkv30nam.com;

- Contest photos must be color or black and white.

- Each author has the right to submit up to 20 works to the Contest (both single photos and photo series) . Only 01 name according to Citizen Identification Card is allowed.

+ Single photo: Each photo is a work of art.

+ Photo series: Each photo series is considered a work, consisting of 05 to 08 photos. There must be a master layout of the photo series; the photo series must have an introduction to the content and caption of each photo, the structure of the photo series. The author must number the 08 photos in the series from 1 to 8 (there will be specific instructions on the website receiving photos when the author submits the photos) .

In case the author submits a photo including a photo single and set of images, single image does not match the image in the set.

- Photos must be clearly captioned, with place names, typical individual or group names...

- The participating works must be created using realistic methods. No photos that are cut, added, removed or distorted from reality are accepted (except for panorama photos).

- Photos must not have borders, must not display information such as: name, watermark, location...

- Photos that have won awards or been exhibited at regional or higher level competitions or festivals organized or co-organized by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists will not be accepted.

- Photos that violate the Contest rules will be removed without prior notice. After the results are announced, if there is evidence of fraud, copying of works, or violation of the Contest rules, the Organizing Committee will revoke the awards and cancel the results for those works.

- Award-winning and exhibition photos are scored at the Regional level according to the Regulations of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

- Each author is responsible for the copyright of his/her work. The Organizing Committee is not responsible for resolving disputes related to the copyright of the submitted works.

- TKV is allowed to use selected works from Exhibitions and Awards without having to pay royalties in TKV's advertising, propaganda, and book and newspaper publications.

2. After selecting photos for the exhibition , TKV will announce the results on the Contest 's Website and notify the authors .​​​​​

3. The Organizing Committee will print all awarded works and exhibit them.

IV . TIME TO RECEIVE WORKS

Time for receiving entries: from the date of issuance of the Plan - Rules until August 15, 2024 (the Contest website will have specific regulations and instructions).

- Exhibition photo judging: expected end of August 2024

- Announcement of results: expected early September 2024

- Time and location of the photo exhibition opening: expected to be held at Quang Ninh Provincial Museum (late September or early October 2024).

V. AUTHOR'S RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Benefits​

- Copyright belongs to the author.

- Award-winning works displayed at exhibitions are scored on a regional scale according to the regulations of the Association of Photographic Artists. Vietnam photo.

- Prize

+ 01 First Prize: Gold Medal, with Certificate from Vietnam Association of Fine Arts and bonus from TKV 30 million VND,

+ 02 Second prizes: Silver Medal, with Certificate of Vietnam Association of Fine Arts and prize money of 20 million VND from TKV.

+ 03 Third prizes: Bronze Medal, with Certificate of Vietnam Association of Fine Arts and bonus from TKV , each prize is 10 million VND.

+ 05 Consolation prizes: Certificate of recognition from the Vietnam Association of Fine Arts and prize money from TKV , each prize is 5 million VND.

+ Profit Exhibition fee for each single photo is: 500,000 VND, each photo set is 1,000,000 VND.

* In addition, the Organizing Committee will select documentary photos about the history, tradition, formation and development process of the Vietnam Coal - Minerals industry from 1994 to present to display at the exhibition: Photo fee for each selected work: single photo 800,000 VND/work; photo series 1,500,000 VND/work.

The structure and number of awards may change, depending on the quality of the work.

2. Responsibility​

- Comply with the Contest rules; the author's submission of works to the Contest is considered as acceptance of all regulations in the Contest rules. The Organizing Committee is allowed to remove works that violate the rules before, during and after the Contest.

- Responsible for copyright, related rights and personal income tax according to the provisions of law.

- Authors violate the rules of the Contest:

+ If you are a member of the Vietnam Association of Photographers, the Organizing Committee will cancel all works participating in the Contest, not be considered for titles, awards for excellent photography, creative support and rewards in 2024; widely announced on the Association's website.

+ If you are not a member of the Vietnam Association of Fine Arts, the Organizing Committee will cancel all entries and will not consider admitting you as a member if you meet the admission requirements in 2024.

VI . IMPLEMENTATION ORGANIZATION​​

- Assign TKV Office as the standing agency of the Contest; develop plans and budget estimates; coordinate with the Vietnam Association of Fine Arts to establish the Organizing Committee and Jury.

- Companies and units under TKV organize propaganda, create conditions for officers, employees and workers of their units to participate; create conditions and support members of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, branches of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in localities ( with letters of introduction ) to come to their units to actually create photos.
