Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong said that, implementing Decision No. 286/QD-BVHTTDL dated February 2, 2024 of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism promulgating the Propaganda Plan to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has closely coordinated with the People's Committee of Dien Bien province to issue a Plan to organize an Art Program to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.

Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong chaired the working session at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The art program is a practical activity to widely propagate historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions, highlighting the role, stature and great historical significance of the Dien Bien Phu campaign, scheduled to take place at 8:00 p.m. on May 6, 2024, at 7/5 Square, Dien Bien city, Dien Bien province.

Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong emphasized that the program must be carefully prepared, solemn, effective; have profound artistic content, rich and modern forms of expression; accurately reflect the scale and stature of the Program; be safe and economical; have high educational significance, create a vibrant atmosphere, and leave a good impression on the people. At the same time, he requested the People's Committee of Dien Bien province to direct relevant departments, branches, sectors and units of the province to coordinate in serving the organization of the Program in the province.

Specifically, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong requested the People's Committee of Dien Bien province to direct the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to be the focal agency to contact and coordinate with the Department of Performing Arts, the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet and related units of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the implementation of the contents of the Program Plan; introduce accommodation and meals for the Organizing Committee, actors, and technical crew in the area; arrange reception, reception staff and local professional units to coordinate with the Organizing Committee to serve the program and related activities during the organization of activities in Dien Bien...

In addition, the People's Committee of Dien Bien province pays special attention to directing the provincial agencies and functional units to develop plans, forces, and means to ensure power sources for training and live broadcasting; security, order, logistics, fire prevention, environmental sanitation, health and traffic safety in the area when the program takes place; inspect and urge the progress of the implementation of work to serve the organization of the program; develop plans to welcome delegates and guests attending the Program.

Arrange union members and youth to participate in practice and performance in art programs; direct the Youth Union to arrange support forces to serve the program's sideline activities.

In addition to the art program, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize exhibitions and film screenings. Therefore, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also hopes that Dien Bien province will support the space for the activities to take place smoothly.

Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee Vu A Bang said that the art program is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, so the Provincial People's Committee has agreed and will prioritize the entire stage for the art program as soon as possible. Regarding accommodation for the art troupe, Dien Bien province will review the entire system of motels in the area, neighboring schools and will inform the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as soon as possible with the spirit that the province will create the best possible conditions.

Regarding security and order, fire prevention and fighting, and environmental sanitation in the area, Dien Bien province will try to fulfill these tasks well.

At the same time, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Bien province also requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to provide a specific number of union members and youth participating in practicing and performing in art programs; the Youth Union supports the sideline activities of the program so that on that basis, Dien Bien province will issue a document directing the education and training sector and related units to implement.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong said that the art program was a beautiful bouquet of flowers from artists nationwide to express gratitude to the heroes, martyrs and veterans of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign. This was also the heart that artists sent to the people of all ethnic groups on the historic land of Dien Bien Phu as well as to the artistic and cultural mission of the country.

Through the Program, we aim to promote the heroic tradition of our army and people as well as demonstrate the deep connection between literature and art with life and national history, expressing the cultural identity and the aspiration for peace of the nation. Therefore, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism hopes to have close coordination with the People's Committee of Dien Bien province so that the program can take place solemnly and effectively./.
