On the afternoon of February 5, General Secretary To Lam offered incense and flowers to commemorate heroic martyrs at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery.


During a working trip to Ha Giang, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), with the philosophy of "When drinking water, remember its source", on the afternoon of February 5, General Secretary To Lam and the Central working delegation visited and offered flowers and incense to commemorate and pay tribute to the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation, for the happiness of the people at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs' Cemetery (Ha Giang province).

Attending the incense offering ceremony were Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries: Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission Le Minh Hung, Chairman of the Party Central Committee's Inspection Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Politburo members: General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense; General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security; Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chief of the Party Central Committee's Office; Mr. Le Thanh Long, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister; Party Central Committee members, leaders of a number of central ministries, departments, branches, the Party Central Committee's Office, the General Secretary's Office and leaders of Ha Giang province, along with representatives of the armed forces, veterans, youth union members and people of all ethnic groups in Vi Xuyen district.

In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, General Secretary To Lam and delegates took a minute to commemorate, offer flowers and incense to commemorate and express gratitude to the heroic martyrs; vowing to be absolutely loyal to the goals and ideals of the Communist Party of Vietnam, forever following the path chosen by the Party, Uncle Ho and the people; joining hands and being determined to build the homeland and the country - entering a new era of development, an era of the Vietnamese people's rise.

Here, General Secretary To Lam was moved to write in the Tradition Book: "Forever grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh. Forever grateful to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the eternal Fatherland. On the occasion of the beginning of the Spring of At Ty 2025, the Central Working Group of the Communist Party of Vietnam returned to Ha Giang and came to pay tribute to our predecessors, heroic martyrs and people at the Vi Xuyen National Martyrs' Cemetery. We continue on the path that the Party and Uncle Ho have outlined, continue to protect and develop a strong, powerful and prosperous country, where the people are warm, happy and wealthy. Ha Giang province continues to develop rapidly and sustainably, with the country entering an era of wealth and prosperity".

Construction began in 1990 and the newly upgraded and expanded Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery covers an area of ​​over 10 hectares, serving as the resting place of martyrs who died in the fight to protect the northern border of the Fatherland.

* In the evening of February 5, General Secretary To Lam and the delegation visited the Nam Dam Community Cultural Tourism Village (Quan Ba ​​Commune, Quan Ba ​​District); presented gifts to 10 policy families in Quan Ba ​​District.
