(CLO) On February 5 (the 8th day of the Lunar New Year), at Phu Gia communal house (Tay Ho district, Hanoi), Phu Thuong Traditional Sticky Rice Craft Village Association coordinated with the Phu Gia Village Relic Management Subcommittee to organize the 8th Sticky Rice Festival in 2025.
The Xoi Festival is a traditional cultural festival that reflects the aspirations of the people of Phu Thuong ward for a prosperous and abundant life maintained every year.
This is also one of the activities to implement Program 02 of Tay Ho District Party Committee on "Strengthening State management of economy; focusing on developing tourism services associated with historical and cultural relics, scenic spots and traditional craft villages" in the period of 2020-2025, contributing to maintaining and developing the local economy sustainably.

Speaking at the festival, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuong - Chairman of Phu Thuong Ward People's Committee, Tay Ho District affirmed that Phu Thuong sticky rice is not only a famous culinary dish but the ancient craft village is also an attractive tourist destination, attracting domestic and foreign visitors to visit and experience; contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people.
Through the process of hard work and creativity, up to now, the people of Ga village (now Phu Gia village) in particular and the people of Phu Thuong ward in general have continued to preserve and develop the profession. Stemming from the passion and love for the profession, the artisans are very meticulous from the stage of selecting ingredients to the processing stage to create the finished product Phu Thuong sticky rice, shiny, plump, delicious, imbued with the culinary culture of elegant Hanoians.
"From simple but meaningful sticky rice stalls, the image of a land with rich cultural sediments will be more widely promoted to friends all over the world, contributing to the development of Phu Thuong ward to become more civilized, rich and beautiful, worthy of the tradition of a heroic ward" - Chairman of Phu Thuong Ward People's Committee added.
