Extra teaching and learning is almost an irreversible trend. Can parents accompany their children in self-study?

The article "Parents impatiently wait for teachers to register for extra classes on February 19" continues to attract many debates from readers surrounding the story of extra classes.
Why bother studying more?
In the context of regulations governing tutoring and extra learning being an almost irreversible trend, readers have begun to talk more about children's self-study and whether parents can accompany their children's studies.
A reader with email moti****@gmail.com said that he has two children. In the past, the couple was busy with work so they sent their children to school with two goals: to help them study well and to send them to school after school.
But after a year, the family saw that the child mainly learned by rote and forgot the knowledge from previous years in the following school year.
"Luckily, I discovered it early and encouraged my child to study on his own. It's really effective. Only by actively exploring will knowledge be deeply ingrained in his brain. Although it's hard, everything will be fine. My child has time to play, do sports, and is no longer stressed," this reader shared.
Similarly, reader N.Phi also asked the question: "Why do we have to worry about extra classes?". According to this reader, parents who care about their children can ask for review outlines. Students who do not understand the lesson can ask the teacher during recess or at home, and the teacher can certainly still spend some time explaining and guiding them.
"The important thing is whether parents remind and urge students and whether students study voluntarily or not," reader N.Phi wrote.
Reader Vu Nguyen expressed his perspective that instead of trying to cram children to excel, why don't parents let their children study normally, just passing is enough? If children are excellent, they will excel on their own, otherwise there is no need to force them.
"Instead of spending their youth forcing children to learn knowledge that they will hardly use when they grow up, why not let them explore and discover new things, or learn skills necessary for their future lives?", this reader wrote.
No extra study is not possible!
On the other hand, reader Hoang Long believes that not all students are the same, some learn quickly, some slowly. And parents are also busy with their lives, so few have time to teach and learn with their children.
"In the end, parents are not able to teach their children because the curriculum and learning methods are too different from the past.
If extra teaching and learning are actively implemented, it will greatly help parents and students overcome the above situations," reader Hoang Long wrote.
Similarly, reader Thanh Tung observed that there are families who do not have the conditions to closely monitor and support their children's learning.
The "conditions" here are not only financial but also the level and skills to help their children learn. Therefore, they have to rely on the teachers to tutor their children.
According to reader Thanh Tung, it feels very "helpless" when some parents spend all day but still cannot help their children solve simple math problems. And therefore, many children have to go to extra classes.
Do parents have 'extra classes'?
Reader Son asked: Have parents been improving their knowledge and skills after work?
Do parents study documents for work? Do they learn English to keep up with the world's development?
"Are parents setting a good example for their children in self-study?", reader Son wondered.
