Free surgery for male student whose nose was broken in the street

A plastic surgeon in Nghe An will cover 100% of the surgery costs for a male student whose nose was broken in the street.

On February 20, information from Military Hospital 4, Nghe An said that doctors are treating and monitoring the health of Nguyen Quang Sang (17 years old), residing in Quang Trung ward, Vinh city, after Sang was transferred from Vinh City General Hospital.

Sang was the person whose nose was broken on the street, causing a stir in public opinion on the afternoon of February 18.

CT scan results determined that Sang had a broken nasal bone.

After being hospitalized, doctors performed plastic surgery to lift Sang's nasal bone and nasal cartilage.

Master, Doctor Le Tien - Dr. Le Tien Cosmetic Institute - directly came to the hospital to examine Sang and said that in the first stage, the patient's main nasal bone will be lifted. After about 3-6 months, the wound will heal and form a nasal cannula.

According to Dr. Tien, patients with a broken main nasal bone will develop a hump if they do not have cosmetic surgery.

Because the fracture is located in the center of the face, it can affect the patient's appearance. Therefore, the doctors will only perform cosmetic surgery when the patient is stable.

The total cost of cosmetic surgery is about 50-70 million VND, Le Tien Cosmetic Institute will support 100% for Sang.

It is expected that Sang can be discharged from the hospital in the next 3-4 days.

Sang's family said that since the incident, the family has received a lot of attention from the community, sharing and encouraging Sang to soon stabilize his psychology and return to school.

Through taking statements from related parties, Vinh City Police determined that at around 4:50 p.m. on February 18, Dang Thai Hoang (30 years old, residing in Trung My block, Quang Trung ward, Vinh city) and his younger brother were walking across Tran Phu street, at the intersection of Tran Phu street and Le Mao street to go to Vinh City General Hospital, when they had a traffic collision with Sang.

Then, Hoang used his hands and feet to punch and kick Sang, causing Sang to be hospitalized for treatment.
