The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has just sent a report to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the operation of Saigon Pearl International School, after the media reported that the school announced it would close after the 2024-2025 school year.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that after receiving information from the press about Saigon Pearl International School, including Saigon Pearl Kindergarten and Saigon Pearl Primary, Secondary and High School, announcing that it would cease operations in 2025, the department sent a document requesting the school to submit a report on its operations in the 2024-2025 school year and directions for resolving issues related to the cessation of operations.
On February 18, 2025, Saigon Pearl International School made a quick report on the school's operations and arrangements for the end of the 2024-2025 school year.
To clarify the contents that need to be implemented in the coming time, the Department invited representatives of Saigon Pearl International School and Ho Chi Minh City International School (ISHCMC) to work and discuss contents related to solutions for students, implementing policies for the team and guiding the unit to complete the dissolution dossier according to regulations.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has directed that from now until the end of the school year, schools will organize normal teaching and learning, ensuring quality maintenance, promptly implementing solutions to ensure students' learning rights, and not allowing students' learning to be interrupted.
The school is also required to organize a meeting with parents to discuss support and create favorable conditions for parents to complete transfer documents according to regulations, to avoid causing disruption and affecting security and order in the area.
In addition, the school must ensure the implementation of policies for teachers, staff, and workers, including Vietnamese and foreigners, in full accordance with current regulations.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training also directed public educational institutions, investors, and foreign-invested schools to accept students transferred from Saigon Pearl International School according to demand, creating conditions for students to quickly integrate and stabilize their studies.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training also requested the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to direct the City Police to coordinate with localities to grasp the situation of public opinion to have appropriate handling plans to ensure security and order at Saigon Pearl International School in particular and the city in general from now until the end of the 2024-2025 school year.

Also in the report of the Department of Education and Training, Saigon Pearl Kindergarten currently has a total of 103 students; including 29 foreigners.
The school has 3 nursery classes and 6 kindergarten classes. There are a total of 13 teachers, including 12 foreigners, and 26 Vietnamese staff.

Saigon Pearl Primary, Secondary and High School currently has 124 students, including 23 foreigners. Each grade has 2 classes.
