Lighting up dreams for many poor and infertile families

Fifteen disadvantaged couples have been given free IVF treatment to realise their dream of becoming parents after years of waiting.

On June 23, Hanoi Andrology and Infertility Hospital organized the "Announcement and Decision Awarding Ceremony for 15 100% Free In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Cases and Other Free Review Programs" within the framework of the program "Golden Week 2024 - Lighting up the Dreams of Infertile Families".

MSc. Le Thi Thu Hien, Professional Director of Hanoi Andrology and Infertility Hospital, spoke at the event.

After more than a month of receiving applications, from April 19 to May 19, 2024, Hanoi Andrology and Infertility Hospital received hundreds of applications for review from couples from all over the country.

The Hospital's professional council has worked impartially and carefully reviewed each case. In addition, the hospital's specialized staff has also conducted surveys and assessed the actual circumstances of each family submitting applications for approval of the 100% free IVF cost support package. The direct survey aims to ensure the fairness and objectivity of each approved case.

The announcement and decision-making ceremony for “15 100% free IVF cases and free review programs” took place on June 23 at the Hospital.

Immediately after the ceremony, the list of families receiving support will be publicly posted on the media; Website and Fanpage of Hanoi Andrology and Infertility Hospital.

Families who receive a 100% free IVF cost support package will be supported by the Hospital with all costs for testing, egg stimulation, egg retrieval, embryo creation, embryo storage, embryo transfer, etc., equivalent to 100 million VND/package depending on each case. In addition, the Hospital will pay all previous examination and testing costs for families who have performed the procedure to complete the application.

This is the 6th consecutive year that the Hospital has provided 100% free support for IVF costs for couples in especially difficult circumstances across the country.

In addition to the 15 couples who received a 100% free support package for IVF costs, the Hospital also gave many free support packages to cases requiring intensive and complex reproductive support techniques.

In these cases, although the circumstances are not too difficult, the pressure they face is not small, in which the cost of treatment is also a factor that causes families to delay treatment.

Therefore, practical support from the Hospital will partly reduce the financial burden on families' journey to find children.

Ms. Le Thi Thu Hien, Director of the Hanoi Andrology and Infertility Hospital, shared that, in addition to thousands of free examinations, the hospital's annual Golden Week program also has 100% free support packages for IVF costs for families in especially difficult circumstances.

Up to now, more than 50 families have received free IVF support with 60 healthy babies born. This is our joy, happiness and also the motivation for us to maintain the program and continue to provide other support in the coming years.

The more we treat and support infertile couples, the more we sympathize and share the difficulties they face. No matter what the circumstances, their desire to find children never fades.
