This is the first grassroots union with members who are informal sector workers in the province.
At the ceremony, the decision of the Standing Committee of the Transport and Construction Trade Union was announced to establish the Binh An Shipper Company's grassroots trade union; appoint the provisional Executive Committee and positions of the Binh An Shipper Company's grassroots trade union; decide to admit 109 workers and laborers of Binh An Transport Business Company Limited into the trade union organization, operating at the Binh An Shipper Company's grassroots trade union from June 10, 2024.
The grassroots trade union of Shipper Binh An Company has the responsibility to fully implement the provisions of the Trade Union Law and the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; assign specific tasks to each member of the Executive Committee and prepare conditions to conduct the grassroots trade union congress in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.
The establishment of the Binh An Shipper Company's grassroots union helps build harmonious and stable labor relations, contributing to the overall development of the enterprise, and is also a highlight in the work of developing union members, establishing grassroots unions, marking the expansion of union membership according to the general policy of the Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor in the following years.
