Opening of the Anti-Doping Training Course for Sports Management Officials Nationwide in 2025

The training course was attended by nearly 120 trainees who are leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Culture and Sports of provinces and cities; representatives of leaders of Sports Training Centers under the Departments and branches of Public Security, Army; National Sports Training Centers, National Sports Associations, and Sports Universities.

Speaking at the opening of the training course, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration Le Thi Hoang Yen said: The anti-doping training course for national sports management officials in 2025 is a professional activity of special importance in the context of Vietnamese sports increasingly integrating deeply with regional and international sports. The main purpose of the training course is to disseminate, equip and update knowledge and regulations on anti-doping both internationally and in Vietnam.

Through the training course, it helps to improve the management capacity of sports officials - those who play a key role in orienting, controlling and building a healthy and fair sports environment; at the same time, it promotes the sense of responsibility and clearly understands the importance of anti-doping work in sports activities at athlete training and education facilities nationwide; helps to minimize, limit and prevent violations of the Anti-Doping Law, towards building a clean, fair and sustainable sports environment.

The training course attracted the participation of 120 students.

Anti-Doping is an inseparable part of developing high-performance sports. This is not only a requirement in terms of expertise and achievements, but also an issue of ethics, culture and true sportsmanship of each athlete and each country. A modern sport cannot exist without putting fairness, honesty and athletes' health first. On that basis, the training program aims to provide important knowledge about current domestic and international anti-Doping work. Especially the regulations and requirements on domestic anti-Doping for managers, coaches and sports experts. With the desire to raise awareness and properly implement anti-Doping regulations, the Organizing Committee hopes that through group discussions in the Class, it will be possible to receive practical and specific contributions from units and localities so that the anti-Doping program and activities in Vietnam will be "more extensive, more effective and more substantial".

According to Mr. Le Minh Ha - Director of Vietnam Anti-Doping Center: The class will focus on groups such as disseminating and guiding information updates, new regulations of the World Anti-Doping Organization (WADA) and national anti-doping regulations. At the same time, discuss, answer questions and exchange practical experiences on issues related to Doping control; the harmful effects of Doping on health and sports career of athletes.

Overview of the training class.

The training course will close on April 10, 2025. It is known that in 2025, after the training course held in Hue city, the Anti-Doping Center will organize a Collaborator Course on anti-doping education and communication for localities, athlete training facilities and Sports Federations and Associations in May in Da Nang.
