Reviewing cultural and social content submitted to the 16th session of the Provincial People's Council

Mr. Nguyen Quang Lam, Head of the Culture - Social Committee (Provincial People's Council) chaired the review meeting.

Reviewing the draft resolution, delegates agreed with the provisions on the scope of adjustment, funding sources for implementation, and 5 other disadvantaged groups entitled to social assistance policies with support levels according to coefficients from 1 to 4 as in the draft resolution. Agreeing on the time of application of the resolution from January 1, 2025 to match the budget year.

Regarding the draft resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of Resolution No. 21/2020/NQ-HDND dated July 15, 2020 of the Provincial People's Council regulating the collection, exemption, reduction, collection, payment, management and use of a number of fees and charges in Dien Bien province; The Committee for Culture and Society agrees with the amended and supplemented content. Accordingly, the fee collection rate is 50% of the normal collection rate for fees for visiting scenic spots, fees for visiting historical sites, fees for visiting cultural works, museums for people of all ethnic groups in the province and a fee of 0 VND for library fees.

Delegates attending the meeting highly agreed on the necessity and suitability of the draft resolutions with the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws and policies. The contents of the draft resolutions were consistent with the actual situation and socio-economic development conditions of the locality; they agreed on the content of the revision and completion of the draft to be submitted to the 16th Session of the 15th Provincial People's Council.
