This afternoon, September 26, the Economic - Budget Committee of the People's Council of Quang Tri province worked with the People's Committee of Dakrong district to review a number of contents related to the Master Plan for the new urban area of ​​Ta Rut, Dakrong district until 2045.

At the meeting, the leaders of Dakrong district reported an overview of the project development process; procedures, legal basis and the necessity and reason for issuing a resolution approving the new urban master plan of Ta Rut until 2045.

Accordingly, the objective of the Ta Rut New Urban Master Plan is to contribute to concretizing the Quang Tri Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; to build and develop an urban area that meets the criteria of a type V urban area, with a synchronous and modern technical and social infrastructure system, suitable for local cultural identity, adapting to climate change; to form a service, trade, industrial and logistics center associated with La Lay International Border Gate, connecting with My Thuy port on the basis of the National Highway 15D traffic system and the West branch of Ho Chi Minh Road.

At the same time, it is the basis for urban development programming, detailed planning and implementation of construction investment projects.

The project also clearly defines the land use planning with a total urban land area of ​​1,416 hectares; orients the development of Ta Rut urban area in all fields of trade, services, tourism, industry, handicrafts...; plans the technical infrastructure system including traffic system, ground elevation, power supply, lighting, water supply and drainage, communications...

The approved Master Plan for the new urban area of ​​Ta Rut until 2045 will be the basis for implementing investment in construction and urban development management; the basis for organizing urban classification assessment and establishing urban administrative units.

Participating in the meeting, the representative of the Department of Construction reported the results of the appraisal of the Master Plan for the new urban area of ​​Ta Rut until 2045; the shortcomings, limitations and proposed solutions to complete the project. Members of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council supplemented and commented on a number of contents related to the objectives and nature of the project along with a number of basic indicators on population, technical infrastructure, and social infrastructure applied according to the criteria of a type V urban area.

Based on the report of Dakrong District People's Committee and comments from the participants, Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Anh acknowledged the contents, opinions and proposals at the meeting.

At the same time, it is requested that the planning unit and the People's Committee of Dakrong district continue to receive, review, supplement and complete the Master Plan for the new urban area of ​​Ta Rut until 2045 for the committee to synthesize and report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council before submitting it to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and decision.
