On February 1, THACO Chu Lai held a Conference to Deploy the 2024 Plan to set out goals and operational plans for the new year, thereby continuing to develop THACO's new generation multi-industry industrial ecosystem in Chu Lai.
Regarding automobile assembly and production, THACO AUTO Production Division has actively researched and developed suitable products to meet the specific requirements of customers. THACO AUTO continues to maintain its leading position in the domestic market with sales of more than 81,400 cars of all kinds, accounting for 36% of the market share; at the same time, promoting exports to ASEAN countries and the world. In the field of mechanical engineering and supporting industries, THACO INDUSTRIES implements a large-scale specialized concentrated production model and sustainable development according to the value chain, promoting the export of diverse products to "demanding" markets such as North America, Europe, and Australia. In 2023, THACO INDUSTRIES' total revenue will reach nearly VND 8,700 billion, of which foreign revenue will reach USD 106 million. In the field of logistics and transportation, THILOGI has promoted investment in port infrastructure, equipment, and upgrading service chains; gradually forming an international logistics center in Chu Lai and satellite logistics centers in the regions, optimizing logistics costs towards parity with the North and South. The total volume of goods passing through Chu Lai port last year reached more than 3 million tons.
In 2023, THACO Chu Lai paid more than 20,100 billion VND to the budget, and nearly 16,000 billion VND in Quang Nam province.
After 20 years with 4 investment and development cycles, THACO Chu Lai has now become a new generation multi-industry industrial ecosystem of THACO in Chu Lai, developing green, smart and sustainable, including the following centers: Automobile manufacturing and assembly; Mechanical engineering and supporting industry; Logistics; Agricultural and forestry processing; Trade & Services; Urban areas and social infrastructure.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Ba Duong - Chairman of THACO's Board of Directors said: After 20 years, THACO has achieved the goal of becoming a multi-industry corporation, contributing to the economic development of Quang Nam province and the region, and expects to contribute to the development of the Central region in the near future, commensurate with the two ends of the South and the North. To do that, the Group continues to steadfastly implement its multi-industry goals and strategies, focusing on upgrading governance. At the same time, the Chairman of THACO's Board of Directors hopes that the provincial leaders will review the projects that THACO is doing, especially shortening legal procedures so that the Group can continue to invest and develop, aiming for bigger goals.
At the conference, Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Le Tri Thanh acknowledged and praised THACO's efforts and determination in the context of economic difficulties, contributing greatly to the provincial budget (accounting for 51%). The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that he would accompany THACO in the Group's development investment projects in the coming time.

On this occasion, in order to recognize the efforts in production, business and encourage the spirit of employees of member corporations, companies and units in Chu Lai, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Board of General Directors of THACO awarded 18 collectives and 36 individuals with outstanding achievements in 2023.
