Mau Son Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities is located in a commune in Region 3, with difficult traffic conditions, about 36km from the center of Cao Loc district, Lang Son province. Teacher Lam Thuy Nga, Principal of Mau Son Primary and Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, said: The school currently has 28 staff members (including 18 teachers), all of whom love their jobs and are committed to their villages. All students live far away from home, some of whom live about 20km from the school, so they all live in boarding schools, so the teachers are both teachers and parents who nurture and guide them every day. The basic salary of teachers here is guaranteed, on average, teachers receive over 20 million VND/month due to the additional percentage of money to attract teachers from region three, regional allowances, etc.

Talking about the preparation for the upcoming Lunar New Year 2025, Ms. Nga shared: “Because the school is far away, and at the end of the year many teachers attend training classes, the cost of business trips is high, but the school tries to save money so that at the end of the year each teacher gets an additional 500,000 VND.
"This year, we are very excited because Cao Loc district has implemented Decree 73/2024/ND-CP on regulations on basic salary and bonus regime for cadres, civil servants and public employees. Roughly calculated, the school also received additional funding from this source of over 145 million for teachers during Tet," Ms. Nga said excitedly.

Ms. Nga added that the school has always received attention and support from all levels and sectors. On January 3, 2025, the Youth Union of the Procuracy coordinated with Cao Loc District Youth Union to organize the program "Winter of Love" at the school with many meaningful gifts and 100 lunches for students. Recently, from January 18 to 20, the Youth Union of Hanoi Law University coordinated with Lang Son Provincial Youth Union to implement the program "Spring of Love" and organize "Early Year-end Party" for teachers and students of Mau Son Primary and Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities.
