Quang Nam Mr. Tran Day, on Cu Lao Cham Island, Hoi An, discovered a 1 kg pangolin stuck in a fence and took it out and handed it over to the authorities.

On the afternoon of November 11, Mr. Day, along with the Management Board of Cu Lao Cham Marine Protected Area and forest rangers in Tan Hiep island commune, Hoi An city, released the pangolin back into the wild.
He said that on the evening of November 10, he discovered a pangolin stuck in a fence net behind his house and struggling. He and his relatives removed the net to let it escape and handed it over to the Cu Lao Cham Marine Protected Area Management Board. The pangolin was about 50 cm long.

At Cu Lao Cham Island, at the end of March, a 1.7 kg pangolin crawled into Ms. Tran Thi Hien’s house. She caught it and handed it over to the authorities to release it back into the wild.
Pangolin ( Pholidata ) also known as "trut" or "xuyen son giap" - a mammal belonging to the order Pangolin. This animal has a hard layer of scales to protect its body, a sticky tongue and can shoot up to 40 cm long to eat ants or termites. When threatened, pangolins can curl up into a ball. Both the yellow pangolin and the Javan pangolin are on the list of endangered, rare species protected at the highest level by Vietnamese law.
