The first Vietnamese woman to carry 169 Vietnamese lotus seeds into space

On the morning of April 14 local time (evening of the same day Vietnam time), American billionaire Jeff Bezos' space tourism service company Blue Origin successfully conducted its 11th manned flight on the New Shepard spacecraft (NS-31) with the first all-female crew since 1963.

The NS-31 mission not only marks a major gender milestone in commercial spaceflight, but also aims to inspire generations of women and girls to enter STEM ( science , technology, engineering and mathematics) fields.

According to the Vietnam Space Center under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, the agency has collaborated with Vietnamese-American astronaut Amanda Nguyen on the historic space mission NS-31 with the first all-female crew of the US aerospace corporation Blue Origin.

The Vietnam Space Center also said that 169 Vietnamese lotus seeds will accompany astronauts on a journey beyond Earth./.
