Focus on promoting health insurance policies

With the theme "Effective use of health insurance funds and improvement of the quality of health insurance examination and treatment at grassroots health facilities", the Plan was issued to strengthen communication on the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws on health insurance to improve the effectiveness of using the health insurance fund and the quality of health insurance examination and treatment.

Accordingly, the City People's Committee requested units to propagate and disseminate health insurance policies and laws, especially Plan No. 745/KH-BYT of the Ministry of Health on organizing activities on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of "Vietnam Health Insurance Day" (July 1).

The propaganda content focuses on the role, benefits, and humanity of the health insurance policy, especially family health insurance; the rights of health insurance card holders when going to see a doctor or receiving medical treatment; the level of financial support from the State budget and local budgets for family health insurance participants; and new policies and laws on health insurance.

At the same time, it is necessary to disseminate regulations related to health insurance examination and treatment, payment of health insurance examination and treatment costs; results of implementing health insurance policies over the past 15 years; efforts of the health sector and social insurance in improving the quality of health insurance examination and treatment; ensuring the rights of health insurance participants according to regulations and in the management and use of health insurance funds safely, effectively and economically.

In addition, units and localities propagate administrative procedure reform, information technology application, digital transformation of the health sector, and social insurance in organizing and implementing health insurance policies, helping participants and beneficiaries of health insurance policies to have more convenient access to medical services for medical examination and treatment and health care.

Not only that, propaganda focuses on identifying violations of the law on health insurance; common forms of abuse and profiteering in the field of health insurance; results of inspection, examination, handling of violations, and trial results of courts at all levels on violations of the law in the field of health insurance. Commend organizations and individuals who have implemented health insurance policies well; have good initiatives and solutions in propaganda and mobilization work to develop family health insurance participants.

In particular, the units disseminate cases of health insurance participants whose medical treatment costs are covered by the health insurance fund, helping to reduce financial difficulties; at the same time, they integrate information about cases of patients who have not participated in health insurance, and whose families have difficulty paying for medical treatment costs;....
