This afternoon, May 9, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting of the Organizing Committee of the 2024 Peace Festival and the festival organization plan. At the meeting, the Organizing Committee of the 2024 Festival for Peace reported the draft to establish 4 sub-committees to serve the festival including: Content; communication; security - order; logistics - reception, associated with specific functions and tasks assigned to each sub-committee and committee members.
Delegates attending the meeting focused on discussing and giving comments on the draft of a number of related contents regarding working regulations; adding a number of tasks to sub-committees; communication plan; establishing a press center, assigning a spokesperson to unify information and propaganda for the festival; press conference organization plan, international communication issues; volunteers serving the festival.
Supplementing regulations on the responsibilities of members of the organizing committee and sub-committees; plans for issuing delegate cards and vehicle cards to attend the opening ceremony; management work, ensuring security, order and traffic safety; clarifying the leading role in mobilizing socialization and festival sponsorship... At the same time, contributing some more comments on issues related to the festival identity; the festival script name; and the festival guest frame.
At the meeting, the festival consulting unit hoped that units and forces would create favorable conditions to support personnel for the opening program; support the work of ensuring security, electricity, water, telecommunications, health care and hoped that the province would quickly approve the detailed plans and scenarios of the program so that the unit could thoroughly prepare for practice and promptly deploy necessary tasks.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam emphasized that the 2024 Peace Festival is a program of national scale, reaching international level. This is also the largest program that Quang Tri province has ever organized in terms of scale, purpose and meaning; contributing to promoting the image of Quang Tri to the whole country and internationally, while raising the level of the annual July gratitude festival.
Therefore, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is requested to complete legal procedures soon to quickly deploy the work of mobilizing social resources. Regarding the festival identity, it is necessary to adjust from image to symbol; edit the layout, content, color, soften the river; change the name of the opening ceremony script. Regarding the opening night ceremony, agree on the drone flying plan, but need to find suitable background music. The fireworks display program needs to choose a suitable background song and calculate the budget.
Relevant units prepare detailed content, identity, press releases to organize press conferences, to facilitate the work of mobilizing sponsorship, communicating, and promoting the event. Subcommittees need to proactively research and consult with the organizing committee on tasks related to assigned tasks; members of the steering committee and organizing committee need to promote responsibility for assigned tasks and tasks, and guide professional departments.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and Finance to pay attention to a number of tasks such as: training volunteers; reviewing martyrs' cemeteries, social security activities, procedures for organizing gratitude activities; providing guidance to ensure strict reception and management, in accordance with legal regulations on finance and sources of sponsorship for the festival.
