With features equivalent to imported products but not requiring much investment, the Fiber laser CNC machine manufactured by the group of authors Tran Tien Dung (born in 1970); Tuong Anh Vu (born in 1988) and Tran Nu Hien Linh (born in 1998) from DAVICS Company Limited will help improve production efficiency, saving hundreds of millions of VND for users. This idea has successfully surpassed many competitors, winning First Prize at the "Innovative Startup" contest in Quang Tri province in 2023.

Sharing about the process of forming and implementing the idea of "Manufacturing, producing and trading Fiber laser CNC machines; services and products from Fiber laser CNC machines", Mr. Tran Tien Dung, Director of DAVICS Company Limited said that the company is a unit specializing in processing mechanical products, therefore, cutting, shaping and processing sheet metal plays a very important role, carried out daily.
However, with the increasing demands of customers today, processing methods using CNC plasma cutting machines or Oxy-Gas CNC can no longer meet the requirements.
On the other hand, investing in new machinery and equipment is quite expensive. “From that reality, we have researched and studied to upgrade the machinery to CNC cutting technology using Fiber laser to meet customer requirements and increase the company's labor productivity,” said Mr. Dung.
To realize the idea, the group of authors spent more than a year researching, designing, and assembling the test. Accordingly, the main components of the CNC Fiber laser machine include: machine frame, control system, electric power cabinet, dust extraction system, laser power source, servo mechanism, Capaccitance Balance unit...
With features similar to foreign-made machines, the author group's machine can also cut metals such as iron, steel, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, gold, silver, titanium, ceramic... with very high precision. Fast cutting speed, sharp and smooth cutting lines, help increase work productivity many times over.
Mr. Tuong Anh Vu, the person in charge of machine design, said that the difference between the Fiber laser CNC machine produced by the group of authors and other machines on the market is that the machine operates under the control of an embedded circuit board instead of using a traditional control system. The embedded circuit board designed by the group of authors will minimize the control system, and can be easily repaired and replaced because it masters the technology.
At the same time, the data transmission line from the design computer to the CNC cutting machine uses wifi instead of USB. This helps save costs and time; eliminates the risk of virus infection for the computer. Not using foreign components, mastering technology, saving production costs, time, creating convenience for users are great advantages that make the Fiber laser CNC machine competitive in the market.
“Our CNC Fiber laser machine prioritizes the use of easy-to-find raw materials, does not depend on intermediaries, and saves on transportation costs and import taxes. The machine's production cost is low but still ensures high-tech features, easy to use and repair, suitable for the current difficult economic situation,” Mr. Vu confided.
The Fiber laser CNC machine using embedded circuit board control is considered by the competition organizers as a new step forward in the process of localizing domestic products. Mr. Dung confidently affirmed that the success of the idea has helped DAVICS Company Limited become one of the first enterprises in Vietnam to be able to program the operating system and manufacture the main circuit board of the Fiber laser CNC machine. Currently, the group of authors is still nurturing many plans to improve the machine system and optimize the production process.
“Based on customer needs and limitations in the production process, in the coming time, we will continue to research and manufacture a variety of machines and equipment to serve our work,” Mr. Dung informed.
