On the morning of June 16, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity held a conference to review 1 year of operation and deploy tasks and solutions for the coming time.

Since its establishment, the Provincial Steering Committee has advised the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to issue 15 documents, and the Provincial Steering Committee has issued 21 documents to focus on leading and directing the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity. The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department has coordinated to organize 7 propaganda sessions to thoroughly understand the Party's regulations and the State's laws on preventing and combating corruption and negativity, and to provide information on the situation and results of the central and provincial work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity. The Steering Committee and the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee have directed the review and decided to put 4 cases and 5 serious corruption and negativity cases of public concern in the province under the monitoring and direction of the Provincial Steering Committee. Up to now, 2 cases have completed the handling process according to regulations and have been considered and removed from the monitoring and direction of the Provincial Steering Committee; 7 cases and incidents are being further directed to clarify. From June 2022 to present, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency has prosecuted 18 new cases/51 defendants for corruption crimes. Over the past year, the Provincial Steering Committee received 206 petitions from citizens, processed 122/206 petitions with content reflecting and denouncing corruption and negativity, and forwarded 58 petitions to competent agencies and units for consideration and handling.

At the conference, delegates discussed and clarified the results achieved, shortcomings, limitations, experiences, and lessons learned in the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity in the past time; at the same time, proposed a number of tasks and solutions for the coming time.
Concluding the conference, Comrade Ngo Dong Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee emphasized the importance of the current work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity and reviewed some of the achievements, especially in the work of propagating, detecting, investigating, prosecuting and trying corruption and negativity cases, which were highly appreciated by the Central Government. Thereby, the awareness and sense of responsibility of Party committees, authorities, cadres, Party members and people towards the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity have had many positive changes, the political security situation, social order and safety have been maintained, consolidating the trust of cadres, Party members and people in Party committees and authorities at all levels.
The Provincial Party Secretary also pointed out the shortcomings, limitations and causes of the shortcomings and limitations in the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity in the past time. Regarding the tasks in the coming time, he requested that Party committees and authorities at all levels must raise awareness in thoroughly grasping the viewpoints, policies and directions of the Central Government, especially those of the General Secretary, to promptly and closely organize the implementation of the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity in the province. Focus on propaganda work to ensure substance, effectiveness, correctness and clarity of the issue. Continue to review, supplement, update and perfect the new instructions of the Central Government on the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity. Strengthen inspection and supervision to prevent corruption and negativity. The work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity must be placed in the overall work of other aspects to ensure synchronization and effectiveness. Enhance the role and responsibility of all levels, sectors, the Fatherland Front, and organizations, especially leaders, in implementing the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity and performing well the assigned tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of the political tasks set forth in the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress.
