At the reception, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong welcomed Ms. Renata Cvelbar Bek and the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of Slovenia to visit Vietnam on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (1994 - 2024).

Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to developing cultural, sports and tourism cooperation with Slovenia, an important partner of Vietnam in Central Europe. The Deputy Minister also expressed his delight at Slovenia's participation in a number of cultural events in Vietnam, including the Hanoi International Film Festival. Thereby, introducing to the Vietnamese public more about the culture, history, country and people of Slovenia.
In the coming time, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong hopes that Vietnam and Slovenia will promote delegation exchanges at all levels and increase information exchange on cultural and artistic activities of each country. Along with that, the two sides need to create conditions for participation in cultural and artistic activities organized within the bilateral and multilateral framework.
The Deputy Minister also said that in 2024, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism plans to organize a program to introduce Vietnamese cinema in Slovenia through film screenings. The Deputy Minister asked the Slovenian side to support the successful organization of the event, contributing to enhancing cultural exchange and understanding between the people of the two countries.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong respectfully invited Slovenia to attend international cultural events held in Vietnam such as Hue Festival, Hanoi International Film Festival, International Puppetry Festival...
Regarding tourism, the Deputy Minister said that the national tourism agencies of Vietnam and Slovenia need to increase the exchange of information on laws, policies and experience in tourism development management. At events such as the Vietnam International Travel Fair (VITM) in Hanoi and the Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Fair (ITE-HCMC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong hopes to have the presence of Slovenia. Within the framework of the fair's activities, the two sides can discuss solutions to promote tourism and increase the number of visitors exchanged between the two countries.
In addition, according to the Deputy Minister, Vietnam and Slovenia both have beautiful and unique natural landscapes and many attractive destinations. Therefore, the Deputy Minister proposed that the two sides coordinate to organize tourism promotion events to attract tourists from both countries.

In sports, the Deputy Minister recommended that the two sides continue to maintain cooperation at the federation and association levels; research and expand cooperation at relevant levels and fields; and support each other in training in sports in which the two countries have strengths.
For her part, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of Slovenia Renata Cvelbar Bek affirmed that the two countries' agreement to promote cooperation in culture, sports and tourism shows their desire to understand each other more deeply and are ready to promote cooperation at many levels and in different fields.
Recognizing that the potential for cooperation in culture, sports and tourism between the two countries is huge, Ms. Renata Cvelbar Bek hopes that in the coming time, the two countries will actively promote cooperation in all three fields of culture, sports and tourism.
Agreeing with the proposals of Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong, Ms. Renata Cvelbar Bek affirmed that Slovenia will strive to promote contacts at all levels, develop cooperation plans and concretize them into many activities to develop the Vietnam - Slovenia cultural, sports and tourism cooperation in depth and substance.
Ms. Renata Cvelbar Bek added that the two countries can increase sharing of cooperation opportunities in the fields of culture, sports and tourism. Ms. Renata Cvelbar Bek also supports the organization of cultural and artistic exchange activities between the two countries. Slovenia will support Vietnam when organizing cultural and artistic activities in this country. From there, it will help the people of the two countries have more opportunities to learn about each other's unique cultures.
Ms. Renata Cvelbar Bek also hopes that Vietnamese filmmakers will choose Slovenia as the main setting in their films.

Regarding tourism, the Vietnamese side proposed that the two sides organize delegation exchanges to share experiences in tourism development, create conditions for travel businesses on both sides to explore opportunities for cooperation in product development, expand markets for sports tourism, resort tourism, and green tourism; and study the possibility of establishing direct flights between the two countries at a favorable time.
Regarding sports, the two sides agreed to study cooperation in the spirit of mutual development, consider friendly competitions in sports, and exchange delegations of coaches and athletes.
The two sides expressed their belief that with increased cooperation in culture, sports and tourism, in the coming time, the relationship between the two countries will be raised to new heights./.
