Remove many "bottlenecks"
Investment in urban infrastructure construction and site clearance are tasks that the City Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Tam Ky City pay great attention to. This is demonstrated through policies, plans and field inspection trips by city leaders to promptly resolve difficulties and problems.
In 2021, Tam Ky City Party Committee issued Resolution No. 04 on improving the effectiveness of compensation, site clearance, and resettlement when the State acquires land in the area in the period of 2021 - 2025, opening a new stage for the city's development.
Thanks to that, the locality has recently removed many “bottlenecks”, especially for key projects that have lasted for many years. After completion, the projects have contributed to beautifying the urban landscape, typically the N10 road connecting the two main roads Hung Vuong and Phan Chau Trinh.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Nam - Permanent Vice Chairman of Tam Ky City People's Committee said that, following that success, since the beginning of 2024, the city has resolutely directed the completion of asphalt paving on Bach Dang route, Nguyen Du - Bach Dang intersection, Ba Ta - An Ha intersection.
Some projects are being accelerated such as Nguyen Hoang ring road, residential area - resettlement road leading to Ky Phu 1-2 bridge (phase 3 expansion), residential area southeast of Ky Phu 1-2 bridge; school projects.
The urban infrastructure connection work has also achieved many positive results, contributing to the increasingly complete urban picture. Up to now, 26 urban infrastructure connection projects according to Notice No. 98 of the Provincial Party Committee are being focused on accelerating the progress, the remaining 6 projects continue to prepare for investment.
Regarding infrastructure connection projects in communes and wards according to Resolution 269 of the City People's Council, a total of 19 alley, drainage, and rural traffic projects are being actively implemented.
In addition to accelerating the progress of construction investment and compensation, site clearance, from the beginning of 2024 to present, the city has also approved investment policies for 14 projects with a total investment of 350 billion VND; 31 compensation, site clearance, and resettlement plans with a total cost of nearly 14 billion VND.
Continue to promote breakthrough tasks
In early 2024, the Standing Committee of Tam Ky City Party Committee issued Conclusion No. 585 on the progress of compensation, support and resettlement of key projects in 2024 in the city with the orientation of continuing to innovate thinking and working methods, being proactive and creative, with the spirit of "dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility", making efforts and striving with the highest determination.
Specifically assigning each member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the leader of the City People's Committee to directly monitor and direct the progress of compensation, support and resettlement of key projects in the area in 2024.
This shows the city's great concern and determination with the desire to create momentum to effectively carry out breakthrough tasks, contributing to socio-economic development and urban construction.
According to Mr. Nguyen Duy An - Chairman of Tam Ky City People's Committee, although many positive results have been achieved in the past time, it can be said that compensation, site clearance and resettlement work in the area still faces many difficulties, causing some projects to be behind schedule and not meeting expectations.
Therefore, in the coming time, it is necessary to strengthen coordination and enhance the responsibility of agencies, departments and localities to effectively implement Resolution No. 04 and Conclusion No. 585 of the City Party Committee.
"In particular, strengthening discipline, administrative discipline, improving the sense of responsibility and work efficiency in performing public duties of the team of civil servants and public employees; promoting the effectiveness of the entire political system in accordance with the directives of the Provincial Party Committee and the City Party Committee," said Mr. An.
Tam Ky identifies the task of focusing all efforts on effectively implementing compensation, site clearance, and resettlement, considering this a key, continuous task, a breakthrough, and a particularly important driving force for the city's development.
Therefore, in the remaining months of 2024, Tam Ky aims to drastically implement site clearance for Tam Thang 1 and 2 industrial parks; complete the 7.8ha strip of Thuan Yen industrial park and strive to attract 2 investors by the end of 2024.
At the same time, coordinate with the province to promptly remove obstacles to establish procedures to promote and call for investment projects with driving force such as Nguyen Tat Thanh mixed urban axis, Hoa Huong urban area, international inter-level school, high-quality hospital in An Phu.
