Accident on Rach Mieu bridge, 1 person died on the spot

On the evening of May 12, news from the Traffic Police Department of Tien Giang Province Police said that the unit is coordinating with My Tho City Police to investigate the cause of a traffic accident on Rach Mieu Bridge that left a young man on a motorbike dead on the spot.

According to initial information, at around 5:20 p.m. the same day, many people were traveling on Rach Mieu Bridge from Ben Tre to Tien Giang. When they reached the middle of the bridge, in Ward 6, My Tho City (Tien Giang), they suddenly heard the sound of a motorbike sliding on the road.

At this time, many people saw a seriously injured young man lying under a motorbike with license plate 71B3-271.28 in the motorbike lane. About 7 meters away, a truck with license plate 50LD-058.10 was stopped in the car lane.

When the locals and the truck driver arrived to check, they found the young man dead. At the scene, the motorbike was lying on top of the victim, many plastic baskets containing chickens and tarpaulins fell onto the road.

Upon receiving the news, the Traffic Police Department of Tien Giang Province quickly arrived, coordinated with My Tho City Police to regulate traffic and investigate the cause of the accident.

Initially, the victim was identified as Mr. LKH (32 years old, residing in Thanh Trieu Commune, Chau Thanh District, Ben Tre). Relatives said that Mr. H. was on his way to transport chickens when the accident happened and he died on the spot. The scene was not cleared until 7:30 p.m. the same day.
