Recreating the space of the old town on National Resistance Day at Phung Hung mural street

The space of old Hanoi in Hanoi's Old Quarter during the national resistance war of Hanoi's army and people until the day of taking over the capital (1947-1954) is vividly recreated at Phung Hung mural street, bringing many emotions to the public.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital and the 25th anniversary of Hanoi being honored by UNESCO as a "City for Peace", on the morning of October 4, at the Phung Hung Street mural space, the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District organized the program "Memories of Hanoi - 70 years" to recreate the space of Hanoi in the period of 1947-1954. In his opening speech, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District Nguyen Quoc Hoan said that October 10, 1954 was an important milestone in the history of construction and development of the capital Hanoi, marking a turning point of great historical significance, opening a new period in the thousand-year history of Thang Long - Dong Do - Hanoi.

The program aims to introduce one of the historical periods of the nation to the people and tourists, thereby helping each citizen to be more proud and take practical, meaningful actions to contribute to the construction of the Capital.
